Trouble with Douche-Buckets

This damn near set me off and would of got me arrested!
Headline:

This damn near set me off and would of got me arrested!

I bought a Smith&Wesson M&P45...I know...sexy.
Well I went to Gander Mtn and when I bought this, I got the Trijicon Night Sights! They didn't have them in stock so I bought them with the promise of a call when they got in and free installation.
I found this to be a suitable deal so I did it. Two weeks went by and the people still hadn't contacted me. So i took my NEW 08 Dodge Ram SXT V8 up to the store and ask them "Hey, you got my shit fucko?" They did!!!
So I said "Alright, install them....NOW." They told me they were busy and to come back on Monday. "Fuuuuuck" I want my night sights NOW! So I stomped off like a child denied a Christmas eve present and came back on monday. These jackass's took my pistol and the sights, taped the sights to the case and said "it will be a week...come back on Monday"!!!! Oh flame fucking faggot grease Batman! This pissed me off! I told them that I was told this would be done when I got the call that never came on the date of the arrival of the sights. This is obviously not the case. Then I offered to jump back there, pull the lead out of there ass and shove it through their ear canal. This did not work, so I offered to remove the old ones and replace it myself if I were given the tools. After they got done looking at me like I WAS THE FUCKO they gave me a simple "uh no". So once again I stormed out of there like Snake denied YET AGAIN on prom night. Needless to say I have a S&W M&P 45 with no night sights in my night stand right now and the item sitting in an undeserving store. Has anyone else had problems with either Gander Mtn or a local gunsmith Taking there sweet ass time or acting like the are above all?
AAAHHHHHHHHH I want Trijicon night sights!!!!

They hire the gunsmiths that cant get a smith job in the real world.
Just like Best Buy and their computer mechanics.
You bought a gun at a retail chain store and you expected good customer service??
And here is the real question---------
why do you think that you needed and had to have night sights??
For home defense in a low light -high stress situation you wont be using the sights anyway.
Save the cost of the night sights and buy ammo to practice with or hoard.

Exactly, I had the same attitude from a local supplier (i won't mention their name cuz I don't want to give them any advertising) they had my money first, so they didn't care when I got my part. I wanted to buy from a local shop when could have bought it myself over the net. I figure I had to wait about 3 extra WEEKS. I was pissed to say the least. Then they really pissed me off when they wouldn't fess up to the attitude.

I went to gander for ammo, cammo gear, kids christmas present, archery and whatever else I could get away with until last year. About 16 months ago they went from being owner operator to corporate nightmare. Amo is so expensive I will not even consider it. Who would pay $25 for a 550 brick of 22lr? 45 ACP is $125 for a 250 box of UMC. I found a local guy who sells it for $75. The brick was $14.
They no longer carry AR style accesories and the gun smith is outsourced to save money . Even the hunting clothes are now never on sale.
This is ice season in NY and they have no Clam shelters in stock! Ice fishing is a art up here and they have nothing in stock.
Archery is the same, no archery guys available, just ahigh school kid that knows less than I (which is not much).
Fuck gander.

Cabelas is just as bad

I had a scope mounted and bore sighted. When I got home to shoot it the thing would not even hit a target at 100 yrds. I had to turn the scope 20 clicks down and 23 clicks to the right. Now that gun will hit thumb tacks at a 100+. Since then I bought a bore sighter of my own.

I agree with greasy

Install the damned sights yourself. I've done it with three of my Glocks. Hell, you're going to have to drift the sights to zero your gun anyway, so you should have the tools at home. A small brass hammer and delrin punch and you're in business.

autos more popular

marten autos are more popular because they are more
concealable. True But autos are more popular because
of more fire power. Hard to compete with that.
I'm still a wheel gun man. I like the thought that
I have to make each shot count and don't have dozens
of more shells to back me up when I miss. Also autos
spread a lot of stray rounds to hit innocent people.

Which came first ? the chicken or the egg. Is there
an answer. I guess in combat I would want my 1911 but
when I'm in rough country I want my Ruger 44 Mag.

To each his own and a gun for every purpose.

There is a small town gun store in my town with no competition, even though it is owner owned, the people inside are rude and not knowledable about guns. They mark everything up at least 25% of its actual price, and buy guns from people who have no clue how much they are worth. I guess no matter big store or ma and pop store you will always find a thief somewhere.

Not that i know s..t about norm, but ive always found that the mom and pop stores are better.. Sometimes they can't match the price of the "big box" stores cause they dont buy enough to get the best wholesale price, but ive always found the local gun dealer is honest, smart, and good to just waste a bit of time with..

I think I might have judged other stores to harshly prematurely, since that one store pissed me off to no extent, I agree with you Greg AZ, small business care not only because they have to but they are friends with the customers.

The problem now is that with all the WalMarts etc. chain stores they are running the Mom and Pops stores out of business. This is true in Gun stores, hardwares, pet shops, etc etc. We have to as responsible citizens decide to spend more for the mom and pops to keep them in business or we will lose out in the long run.

But we can support our local gun/sporting goods dealer. i'm going up to Prescott tomorrow am to buy a couple of batterys for my truck. I'm almost forced to get them at Walmart due to the price, and to be honest i have purchased more than a box or two of ammo from them for the same reason. The thing is i always feel sorta guilty, the gun shop guys are good folks, and i hate not supporting them, so im half glad Walmarts cut back on ammo.

Wal Mart

WalMart is only going to sell the things that bring them the highest profit. All the stores around us have just done a pretty complete remodel of the stores. They've dropped some things & added a few others. They've dropped the choices of brands. This has been done in all departments. All this was done to concentrate on the areas, & items, that bring them the highest profit. They're in business to make money. The people who work in our local WalMart are all pretty nice. They're all local people, & I know many of them. None of them are getting rich, & very few work 40 hours a week. Again, this is so WalMart can maximize profit. We don't have a local gunshop or sporting good store in town anymore. The last one closed this year, & a Walgreens was built on the site. We have to drive 7 miles to the nearest pawnshop, or 15 miles to the nearest gunshop or sporting goods store. There are NO bargains on guns anywhere around here.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).

hey guy, I wish I had a gun shop within
15 miles, the closest is 27 and he is a
rip off. The only good one I know of is 45
miles in Waco. That's the price you pay to be able to go deer hunting in your back yard so I'll not gripe any more.

We either go north to Prescott (45 min drive), or south to Wickenburg (40 min drive). But awe also have deer and javalina in our yard at sunset, so most of the time we love living rural. There are times it gets old (the drive) but for the most part I think we'd do it all the same way again.

Hey Mike

I'm on top of the world this morning. We went to
San Antonio last night to the State Championship
5A foot ball game. Our team won in overtime 41-38
This is their 3rd State Title in 5 years. They won in
05-07and 09
My son-in-law is principal at Euliss Trinity HS in
Euliss Texas. He is the youngest (40)principal of a 5A
school in Texas. 2,943 students
But on the other hand I'm down because those stupid
Cowboys won. I want to see Jerry Jones and company run
back to Arkansas where they came from.
