WE BUY AND CONSIGN COLLECTIONS!

In many situations it's not feasible to list and sell off an entire collection of guns individually, or even a highly collectible individual piece. Some sellers need a liquidation service to handle the entire sales process, from listing to shipment. We are now offering this service at Southern California Gun under two formats. Click on the form at the bottom of this page to contact us.

Option 1: Consignment

For a percentage of the final sale of each item (including non-gun items if necessary), we will take the entire collection in, determine a fair prices and sell them the entire collection. When the collection has been sold and the transfer completed, you will receive payment(s).

Generally the advantage of a consignment is that you will usually end up with more dollars in your pocket than you would with an outright sale.

Option 2: Purchase

In this case we buy the collection/gun directly from you. You will be paid immediately upon receipt and inspection. This is best handled by you sending us the best info you have on the collection/gun, including pictures, and an idea of what you want to get out of it. Our appraisers will determine whether it's worthwhile shipping the collection/gun to us for an offer, and we pay return shipping if we can't agree on a price or consignment arrangement. If the collection is too large to ship, and if we seem to be on the same page as to the value, our appraiser will travel.

The advantage of an outright sale is that you get a known amount promptly -- it can take a long time to liquidate a collection on consignment.
