1% tax on all bank transactions HR 4646

ANOTHER NEW OBAMA TAX SLIPPED IN WHILE WE WERE ASLEEP

Checked this on snopes, it's true!

Check out HR 4646

A one percent transaction fee (TAX), proposed by President Obama's finance team, is recommending a transaction tax. His plan is to sneak it in after the November elections to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transactions at any financial institution. Banks, Credit Unions, Savings and Loans, etc..

Any deposit yo u make, or even a transfer within your account, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social security or whatever is direct deposit, it will get a 1% tax charged for the transaction. If your paycheck is $1000 then you will pay Obama ten bucks just for the privilege of depositing your pay check in your bank. Even if you hand carry your paycheck or any check in to your bank for a deposit, 1% tax will be charged. You receive a $5,000 stock dividend from your broker, Obama takes 50 bucks just to allow you to deposit that check in the bank. If you take $1,000 cash in to deposit at your bank, 1% tax will be charged.

Mind you, this is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax. Keep your eyes and ears open, you will be amazed at what you learn about this guys under the table moves to increase the number of ways you are taxed. Oh, and by the way, you receive a refund from the IRS next year....and you have it direct deposited or else you walk in to deposit that check, you guessed it. You will pay a 1% charge of that money just for putting it in your bank.

Remember, any money, cash check or whatever no matter where it came from, you will pay a 1% fee if you put it in the bank.

Some will say, oh well, it's just 1%. Are you kidding me, it's a 1% tax increase across the board. Remember, once the tax is there, they can also raise it at will. A nd if anyone protests, they will just say oh, that's not really a tax, it's a user fee!

Think this is no big deal? Go back and look at the transactions from last years banking statements. When you add the total of all the transactions you did last year, then deduct 1%. Still think it's no big deal???

Hamp,
This is a bill that has been introduced in the house by Chaka Fattah from Pennsylvania 4 other times: HR 3759, HR 1601, HR 2130, and HR 1703. He did not get one co-sponsor for any of these bills. I do not think this bill has a chance of passing. I do not loose any sleep any over it.

This biography was prepared by Rachel Goehring, Spring 2004.

Excerpts below:

Chaka Fattah was born to Russell Davenport and Frances Brown on November 21, 1956, under the name Arthur Davenport. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother soon remarried to a man she met at a national conference on black power in 1968. Following this conference, his mother decided to change her name to Falaka Fattah, to acknowledge her African ethnicity, and Arthur she renamed Chaka Fattah.
...

Throughout all these years, Fattah was a vocal supporter of Bill Clinton, before, during, and after his years as President. Currently Fattah is continually criticizing President George Bush, and passionately disagrees with all the money that is put into the War on Iraq. One reason Fattah is so passionate about money is because he is still seeking money for his Student Bill of Rights.

Fattah’s most recent accomplishment is his web site. In March 2003, he was awarded the Gold Mouse Award by the Congress Online Project for educating the public on how government works and advancing political ideas.

Fattah is still serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and currently resides in Philadelphia, where, with his third wife Renee Chenault-Fattah, he is raising his four children.

I hope all are well & rested. Is everyone getting ready to Celebrate Christ's Birthday?

I have most of my Christmas shopping done, some of you haven't turned in your lists yet, hope I don't run out of money before they get here...

Would anyone be interested in throwing in some money to get something for Ace, to help start her career? I would start the pot with $20.00. Let me know, then we can find a place to mail it to, then get her something she needs or a gift certificate.

How about send it to Hamps place of business?

I stepped out on my own not thinking about something like this. Group effort, what a concept. Her package was delivered Saturday but I have not heard from her. I know she is still splitting time several places as she doesn't have hot water yet. Just some tools and a gun screw kit. I would be happy to chip in though.

The mini files and all your advice will be more than enough.

a thought...

a cordless drill or even one with a cord is a great gunsmithing tool.anyone have an extra?especially if it has a keyless chuck.with a drill and a file you have a poor mans lathe and many other uses.ACE could use one I bet.

Another thought...

Ya'll are wearing me out with all of this thinking.

WDM is her friend right? Can we use him to help us figure out what she was able to "salvage" so we can have the most impact? I just went off the cuff thinking she had nothing.
