any suggestions on where to find a 25 rd. 10/22 mag? All of the usual suspects are back ordered. I want one with steel lips that will feed without jamming, not plastic. "Proelium Comminus Auctoritate"

idk about finding one that isnt plastic but butler creek makes one like u are describing that is smoke plastic i've got a couple off of cheaper than dirt for a little less than $30 and never had a jam it is back ordered now but they usually get more at the beginning of every week hope this has helped you in your search

Butler creek sells two kinds of mags the hot lips, and their standard banana clip mags. the one has steel lips and the other standard plastic. I have used both. the steel lips are red on the ends and you can clip them together. they are 25rounds cap. Natchez and sportmansguide and cheaperthandirt all have them for sale. Also ram line makes high cap mags for the ruger 10/22 also. eagle industries sells them too.

I bought 4 of them. 2 don't want the first shell to go in the chamber. Gotta jiggle awhile. Once in they all fed great. They are only 10 roundeers. Bought em fo $14 + 5 shipping of of Gunbrokers. I also just bought a 50 round for $20 + $4 shipping. It is on its way. The guy had like a 100 of em.

I noticed the decline in quality the same as samD. All the newer magazines I have puchased work alright for a while, then they stop feeding. Has anyone tried to rebuild a magazine? there is not much to them. I have taken them apart and cleaned every nook and cranny, but always the same parts go back to where they came from.
