I just bought a new Beretta Extrema 2 from my local gun dealer. As I was leaving the store he told me NOT TO USE Winchester Super Speed shells in my gun as they would ruin my barrel. I find this hard to believe. How are the WSS shells any different than other steel shot shells. Another thing that made me skeptical is that the WSS shells are sold at Wal-Mart at a very good price and this dealer has probably seen his shell sales drop considerably due to Wal-Mart's prices. However, I do not want to ruin a $1,600.00 gun to save a few bucks on shells. Anyone have any input on this? Is my dealer giving good advice or just steering me toward his pricier shells?
