.45 ACP ?

Just thought I would ask yall yer opinions on what is the meanest, nastiest, hardest hitting, flesh tearinist .45 ACP projectile out there. What brand, grain weight, etc would yall recommend? Let me know what yall think.

The old black talon 45 acp round is a nasty round. If I remember right it was a 185 grain black talon hallow point. Winchester still makes it but it is called XTP bullet now. You can ask Reaper308 to see if I'm right.

the Horney 200gr+P XTP would rank fairly high in meanness and nastyness.

45 ACP Federal LE Tactical Bonded 230gr. +P HP Ammo

talk about a situation that leads to a lethal encounter, the power of the bullet, the hole it leaves on the attacker, and the legendary man stopping power, hit somebody once, they are gone, i just traded my old g20c, for a g21sf, I LOVE IT!

...ford, the talons are now marketed under Winchester's Ranger line (LE) and are called SXT (Same Xact Thing), they can be pretty nasty too

Don't know the weight

Check out Extreme Shock's 45 Air Freedom Round. I have not used .45, but the 9mm and the .223 rounds do some spectacular damage and stay inside the target. They're sorta like frangible rounds with a bit of TNT inside. They're expensive, but I only use them in the guns I have stashed around the house as I'm not too worried about shooting through auto glass during a break-in

im not worried about shooting thru anything neither, i just pack my handgun usually when im out going to the bank or just a stroll with the wife, i would definitley feel more pain for the assailant breaking inside my house than in the streets because in my house, its the 12 gauge that'll get them, not a small bullet.

Something to think about. per the law, you are responsible for ANYTHING your bullet hits. Even if it goes thru something else. Just be aware is all, I am saying.

was just going to comment on that. good call. high grain +p ammo is real nice penetrating power but not advised to carry outdoors because of the responsibility
