.45 GAP Glock Auto Pistol
Glock Auto Pistol cartridge. It's been out for a while but, not too popular. The question is why not ? Bullet : 185gr. Bonded Defense JHP Ballistics : 1150fps - 543 ft./lbs. - Glock 37 (You have to look behind all of that outer space stuff) |

is not popular because Glock fixed the frame of their 45 ACP. It's awfully hard to justify buying a new cartridge that doesn't offer something substaially better than existing cartridges.

Glock, put a .45 caliber into a 9MM chamber size, beefed up a tiny bit. It also gave you the approx. same energy as a .45 Auto Colt Pistol. The drawback as I see it is, the cartridge is like the EDSEL. Too far out-o-the-box. Besides that, don't kid yourself with that small pistol hype. That thing has recoil. I've only fired the G38, which I will say has more felt recoil than my G31 or G23. Can you work with it, "yes", but it will take substantial range time (I believe).
