9mm for a lefty

Is it asking to much, but is there a 9mm in a lefty version or are they all ambidextrous? looking for target shooting, competition etc...so speed is essential.
Thanks to All

Welcome, wideglide

If there is a pistol just for lefty I have not seen one yet. Welcome to gunslot and I hope you have a good time here on the site.

Springfield XD's are pretty ambidextrous, I'm a left too... If you have long fingers like I do Beretta 92 would work it's a 9mm relatively cheap to shoot, but XD's you can do more with... I guess you could say, different calibers, ect. it's a more tactical gun

The Glock is totally

ambidextous. No safety to undo. Trigger is safety, mag release can be moved to other side. I shoot with my left eye but carry and hold right handed with no problems. FrontSight rates the Glock as the fastest and safest defensive handgun. Dr Ignatius takes these evaluations very seriously. Check Glockmeister.com for Glock parts and lefty stuff. I have seen a lefty only semi somewhere and if can think of it I will post it.

You can switch the mag release of a Beretta 92 from the left to the right side of the frame. All it takes is a pair of needle nose pliers.

The XD is an excellent gun, for those who just can't have a Glock, XD is a good choice. My wife has an XD subcompact 9mm. I can't understand why she didn't choose a Glock, but have found it in my heart to forgive her and keep loving her. The XD is not too bad.

if all else fails, hold the gun upside down and use your pinky finger to pull the trigger
