Acquiring target

I guess we all talk about hitting center mass but over the years I used a system to improve picking and locating. I take several wood stakes about 8 to 10 in. wide and 3 to 4 ft long then I use colored paper and make 4in squares and put them on stakes in 2 or 3 places and at different distance. Now you can have a friend or s o call a color then you have to locate and respond, it makes for great training and does wonders for improving your skills. It beats just plugging a bullseye, try it I think you enjoy a poor mans combat course......thats my nickles worth.....shadow walker

Acquiring target the way you said and when you shoot, shoot them with a double tap, this will help to.

My Dad is ex special forces in the Army and he gave me this idea that one of his trainers showed him how to do it. They would place several diffent numbered sheets of paper on the wall. They used a pin light and used a couple pieces of tape to attach it to your pointer finger, I used a cheap laser pointer. Have some one call out a number and point to it with your finger. I actually started putting the laser on my finger and will sit in the house and snap up and point at an object just to see how close I am.
Before I started doing this I so so will a handgun, know I am pretty damn accurate. The good thing with using this technique for me is I very rarely use my sights at all while shooting hand guns at close range 10-15 yards. This also helped with low light shooting as well.
I was a none believer at first, but I gave it a shot an it works real well. You get pratice in without spending all that money on ammo, this is as good as pratice as drie firing your gun.
