What kind of advice?

Ask a question. If we don't know, we'll make it up and make it sound convincing.

AR 15

The AR 15 is most common is 5.56/223. Make sure you know which one it is chambered in as a 223 chambered will not allow the 556. S&W made a .22 AR which I almost talked my father into getting(He got the new PMR 30 from Kel-Tec instead). I am an avid lover of all things Smith and Wesson so I would recommend theirs. I own a S&W M&P 15 and have put at least 5000 rounds through it with no problems and only one jam. This jam was during rapid fire and was caused by my brothers finger interfering with the ejection port. I would also like to send you to look at the Colts and Rock Rivers. I carried a Colt while in the Corps and loved the durability.
These are my suggestions as to the best of the best. Others my have some suggestions. Just remember that they all have their advantages, The most inportant thing for you to do is to hold(and fire if possible) as many as you can. Pick the one that is best for you. Not the one that is the fad of the week!

Welcome buddy enjoy the site. My AR is a Bushmaster and I have had no problems with it. Love that rifle.
