As is what I thought. Your younger group of voters (18 through late 20's) are usually Independent while your older group of voters are either Democratic or Republican. Another thing I've noticed is as the age goes up, the extremity to which side they choose usually increases also.
Keep posting and let's see if my theory is right.

30. registered as indy, but tend favor canidates on the right... I will vote for who ever I agree with on the most important issues and who i feel will get the job done correctly.

This is too general a question really...for instance, on some social issues I would consider myself in the middle or even just left of center. On financial stuff...I am definitely conservative and think the government spending is out of control and our taxes should not go to people who are just plain lazy! It would be more interesting if you posed more specific questions. For instance, your stance on abortion?
Your stance on campaign finance? Government bailouts, etc etc! Overall I believe our country to be very near the center, with a left or right leaning at times through our history (60s left leaning, 80s right leaning, etc)

don't make it a complicated issue. Not looking for exact numbers just a rough estimate. Republican, Independent, or Democrat that's all I'm asking for plus age (don't know how you could get that complicated. lol)

In Arizona I register Demo just for the primaries so I can help screw up their candidates. As an Independent I couldn't vote in Primary.
