ak 47 machine gun shoot
I am excited to say that I have just acquired and customized another full auto ak-47 with an m4 style collapsible stock, quad rails, and flash suppressor for my personal collection. The weather here in Texas has been so sporadic lately, that even I have been asking myself “where can I shoot a machine gun these days...hahaha”. With signs that the weather is finally starting to cooperate, I can finally get out to utilize some of the longer outdoor ranges to shoot some this new ak and some other machine guns!! Has anyone got any suggestions for some unique ak testing methods, and any other suggestions to make a machine gun shoot even more fun! I want to add a little variety to my next shoot just to make it interesting (while keeping safety top priority). |

my buddy and me save valve stems from old inner tubes drill holes in soda bottle caps, fill the bottles 1/2 full of water stick the valve through the cap from inside, screw it in place and apply about 60 psi to bottle.use caution,not sure of the psi,we don't use a guage.BOOOM they take off like a rocket if you hit it really low,especially when using a fast round .my buddys 17 fireball loaded with v max really works well. got a few old propane tanks i plan to do this with some time soon.should be fun since they can hold 1,000s times more than a 2 liter bottle,so 200+ psi should be safe to fill/transport i wouldn't want to be too close when you shoot it though.
just had a thought.........can you pressurize a container full of tanerite,or will the pressure set it off????????things that make you go Hmmmmmm.....

It is dedicated to the AK and there is an ex Spetsnaz Operator writing the articles. Some of what he does in his classes is in the stories.
One thing is where you stand on the belly of another and attempt to isolate your upper body and stay on target and your lower body is shifting around....
Set up a thrower which will pop up cans or bottles into the air and shoot them on the fly (if the range will allow it)
Steel is always fun, moving steel is just that much more fun.
Draw a car, van or truck out and shoot the crap out of it.

Thanks for the ideas, and I have just found some explosive charges that can be placed inside of just about anything to make for a "hollywood explosion" when the targets struck.

everything is more fun at night
so take glow sticks and cut the end off them and pore the glow on clay targets and sling them into the night.
Handicappers might need tracers.
The going away target is easy , but try a cranked up passing angle target
Just like stations 1 and 2 shooting SKAP(skeet-trap)

I have not had the chance to have a machine gun shoot at night yet, would be a lot of fun. Thats a good idea to make the clays glow, going to have to try your suggestion a try in the near future.
