AK-74 Advise

Thinking of buying one since I have a bunch of ammo. There seem to be a few U.S.A. assembled from new receivers and some imports. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys,

Yes I did and should have acknowledged - sorry. There were inexpensive ones that got mixed reviews. The machined one looked great but a little pricy. I'll probably buy a couple of the sweet ones and a number of the plastic & just hope! Now, I did say "AK-74". Some folks might gloss over that.

Thanks for the replies guys. I thought of a dedicated upper for an AR. I have done that this year in 9mm, 5.7, & 22LR. The upper is as expensive as a whole AK plus I am out of AR lowers.
