AK price is it realy this bad
I was at a gun show over the weekend, and came across an AK47. It was a wasr-10 and had rough furniture and im pretty sure it has never seen a cleaning brush. Any way after looking it over i asked the dealer how much, and with a straight face he said $800 What!? thats outragus for that gun, i know there is a lot of speculation about them being banned but come on. At the same show i found a few more AKs that were 1k-1.2k and they were nothing special, one had a nice set of black furniture but still. So did i just run into a bunch of goughers or is that price reflective of the market now a days? I have been looking at AKs and even SKSs and all the prices over the past 6 months have increased on average, and I am estimating here--about 50-70%. I saw Ak-47s about six months ago for 300-500, now most are about 500-800 on AVERAGE. SKS 200-400, now many around 320-640.

undeniable
They're gouging all over the place. I did manage to stumble onto a new Stag AR model 3 for $900.00 but that was lucky. As for the AKs, thats about what I've seen and heard from people. Ammo is outrageous right now too. Can't even buy .223 Wolf for under $149.00 per 500.

I paid 1050.00 for a new STag Arms...from the company, online. They haven't changed their prices since I started looking 9 months ago.

if you're gonna spend $700-$1000 on an AK... you better get a good one like Lancaster, Arsenal, Polytech etc...
I wouldn't recommend a WASR, especially for that price
Nitris
But all of mine are highend AKs Mint polytech double underfold mint polytech legend underfold mint Norinco 56s-1 underfold and many more.
And yes the prices have gone thru the roof.

well sounds like prices are that high, good thing i got me 1 a few months ago. I did want 1 more to trick out a lil, but i gues i can do that to the one i have now and just hope that pries go down in the future.

the gun dealers are showing their true faces everywhere now. i build AR's and my supplier hasn't gone up too much yet, but we had a local gun show this weekend and stripped lowers were going for 249.00. i buy these from CMMG for 90.00!!!! i asked one guy why he was charging that kind of price and he actually told me "if i sell them for the regular price, then i won't have any". WTF? is that the only excuse he could come up with?
i am all for making a buck but when you gouge people just because you can
then i have no place for you.
dealers and manufacturers are feeding on everyones fear of what will happen after Jan. 20.
i think we have created another Y2k with the buying, but this time we know that (something) is going to happen.

I bought my romanian wasr 10 off of gunbroker.com for $420, after that it was several weeks before I saw an AK at a price anywhere near that, and they were saigas. When I went to pick my rifle up at the ffl I shipped it to, they had a romanian wasr 10 just like mine, the only difference was the grain in the wood and no slant muzzle break, for $750. I wanted to shop around for a good AK, but had to snag up what I could when I could.A gunshow was out of the question due to the crowd. Fortunately, I snaged a good one. It'll put a 2 inch group at 100yrds. Not bad for an AK I guess.

Damand is high. Prices go up. Buffalo gun center is the only store with AK/AR rifles left. Prices went up about $300. They are low on stock and concerned about the distributors raising their prices in the new year....
Also went to the target in Cincinatti. Last time I was there they had AR's and AK's up and down the racks. This time they had NO rifles or accessories. None. They said their inventory was sucked out after the election. EVEN THEIR BULK AMMO was gone. I would drive there just to get 1000 round 9mm packs for under $120. They did not have to raise prices becuase it was gone.
