Alarming Statistic
Consider the following: According to the U.S Department of Human and Health Services, According to the FBI, Conclusion: doctors are approximately 9,000 time more dangerous than gun owners. Guns don’t kill people, doctors do. Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone sees a doctor sometime in their life. Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before it gets completely out of hand. “If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of it's experienced Patriots to prevent it's ruin."Samuel Adams |

haha I'm glad you brought this up! Thanks! You have sources?
hillbilly77
I have not completely investigated the references that it quotes. I got it as an email today and figured I would post it here.

I can use this in my favor next time the wife tells me, I'am being stuborn for not going to the doctor! Unless something fell off of me, I'am not going!
ssrs10
I gotcha, well will you let me know if you get a hold of the info?

especially at my age. But I will not take a Drs word as the Gospel. I ask questions and I read up on it. 2 or 3 opinions is always a good thing in serious matters. There is tons of advice on the internet.

but the medical establishment in general that bugs me. I'm not sure of my statistic is correct, but the percentage of the population they want on lipitor (cholesterol reducing drug) is horrendous! Sane with high blood pressure meds, hormonal replacement (which they can never decide if it works or not), etc. The pharmeceuticals are even worse. I bet you would have never known everyone had acid reflux disease and needed the purple pill unless they spent millions advertising it. And every one of thse drugs they say is hard on your liver. Look, if I'm going to take a drug that is hard on my liver, I'll just drink. Thanks. I'd rather die having lived a happy lubricated life rather than live a long dry one.

People are really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, dumb and the pharmaceutical companies capitalize on that I say good for them!

the interesting thing is, that is about half what it was in 1900, when the population was more like 100 million instead of 300 million, so this represents a six-fold drop in accidental firearms deaths in a century--due, I suspect to much better firearms training and awareness from your local firearms owners.

statistically it is still safer to own a gun than it is to drive a car, fly a plane, walk across the street, ride a bike, skate, take a bath, use power tools or take the bus. That kinda debunks the liberals take on gun safety. It sounds like we are already safe with our guns and because of our guns.
Next arguement you communist, fascist, mindless, liberal lemming safety-crats.
This one is dead.
ssrs10
After all 16,000 teens die in car accidents a year. Where's the outcry to stop retards from driving?
Reaper308
