Administrators at a California high school sent five students home on Wednesday after they refused to remove their American flag T-shirts and bandannas -- garments the school officials deemed "incendiary" on Cinco de Mayo.

The five teens were sitting at a table outside Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif., on Wednesday morning when Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez asked two of them to remove their American flag bandannas, one of their parents told FoxNews.com. The boys complied, but were asked to accompany Rodriguez to the principal's office.

The five students -- Daniel Galli, Austin Carvalho, Matt Dariano, Dominic Maciel and Clayton Howard -- were then told they must turn their T-shirts inside-out or be sent home, though it would not be considered a suspension. Rodriguez told the students he did not want any fights to break out between Mexican-American students celebrating their heritage and those wearing American flags…

Taken from Yahoo news.

Taken from Yahoo news. Alright Americans if you are pissed after reading this the number is at the bottom. Not just California, but, Americans. I heard an interview John and Ken did with the mother of one of these kids. They where the flag stuff all the time. All of you Americans should be calling as I already have.

OK, seriously, these so called "educators" are telling the next generation that it is bad to love our country and that we should be embarrased of patriotism!
I am livid!!! OK, i am trying to refrain from foul language in my posts, the damn libs keep pushing me back to all my vices.
When I think of all the lives lost for that flag!
All the men and women who laid it all on the line!
The ones who left home whole, and returned scarred, and mangled, emotionally as well as physically!

open up peoples eyes to see what is going on in our once great country. I am proad these kids opted to leave school then to back down.Sounds like their parents are doing a fine job. This was an outrage and needs to be dealt with.I would like to thank all the men and women that have fought and died so we can raise our flag everyday and thank god that we are free.

Mr Rodriguez and Mr Boden,

I have been reading about the recent incident where several students were asked to remove bandanas and turn their t-shirts inside out so the American flag would not be visible. Well, I must admit that at first I thought this was a joke. After seeing it on several sources now, I realize it is not a joke, but a sad statement of the times. While I understand that perhaps you were motivated by keeping the peace in school, your actions were completely uncalled for, unecessary and against everything this nation stands for. Why would you do this? Were threats already made against these students? Was turmoil already brewing?

I am currently in Iraq and am a 26 year military veteran and I am totally outraged at your actions. We all have the freedom to express ourselves and wearing the US flag on a shirt should not be threatening to anyone and should not hurt anyone's feelings...regardless of whether there is a majority of Mexican-Americans in the school or not, no matter what day it is or what state. The school is an American school, on American soil, so why should the US Flag be a problem? I beleive both of you were in the wrong here and should make a formal, public apology to all of America and those students, as well as, a personal apology to the students and their parents.

In summary, perhaps this could have been turned into a teaching moment...you know, like President Obama likes to give? Perhaps this could have allowed you to address the problem and teach the students about...you know, what's it called? Diversity, Acceptance...oh, wait...yeah, Tolerance! Yeah, tolerance that's the buzz word isn't? I am not advocating for you two to be fired or anything...because I can tolerate a mistake, but what's hard to tolerate are two people who make terrible mistakes, in front of impressionable students and then can't or won't admit that mistake and do the right thing. Good luck to both of you and I do hope the media pushes the issue until you both give that apology or quit.

Note: I have posted this story to every blog I read, sent an email to everyone I know and encouraged all to get involved, call or email you and let you know just how upset true Americans are concerning your asinine actions in this matter.
