I been doing business in the small town a mile from my house lately for just that reason. I buy meat from the local meat shop, I buy lumber and hardware from the small lumber yard, I buy my gas at the local gas station and we have totally stopped shopping at any of the national chain stores which include Walmart and others. We even buy our medications from the town pharmacy. YES we do pay more. We are on a tight budget with my wife's meager income but we will stay local with our cash but we know that our money gets used by small time business people to live their lives just as we do ours and not to buy yachts and expensive shit people do not really need.

Politicians creating problems is right up there to.If it wasn't for the Politicians NOT doing their jobs a lot of these problems would not exist>They pay farmers not to grow food,they don't secure the borders,they don't give much incentive for a U.S company to not go overseas looking for cheap labor.In fact they encourage it both the dems and repu are guilty.The politicians sell out like hookers at a shriners convention.

that remark. LOL.....Don't worry, I know what you are saying there. But I'm a member of the AAONMS, Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (Shriners). I enjoy it. But I do know what you mean there. The Shriners tend to be partyers and some of them can get REALLY crazy at times.

I think most of us are aware where the problems are. What to do about it is the harder problem. But, Vaq, I agree with you. This country NEEDS to go through some really hard times to fix many of it's problems. Whether we do it voluntarily or whether we wait for the day we can't put it off any more is the question. But they (hard times) ARE coming.
