ammo question
i was in local walmart today and looking for 380 ammo. the salesperson said they had heard that nc and sc would not be getting any more 380 ammo. how could this be possible and has anyone heard anything about 380 ammo, or the lack thereof. |

I haven't heard anything specific to Wal-Mart, but I do know that .380 is in very short supply everywhere, because it used to not be such a popular round. So, the factories all only made a certain amount of it because demand was low. Now, in the last year or 2 suddenly everybody is making .380 pocket pistols that are very popular. Ruger's LCP, Kahr's p380, the little .380 made by desert eagle (can't remember it's name). So, with the latest gun craze and the sudden popularity with these caliber's, the factories haven't been able to keep up. They will catch up eventually though.

theyve been out of buckshot for a while too, and about pistol ammo, im seriously thinking of selling my glock 19 for a glock 32, because 9mm ammo is getting to be as expensive as the 357 sig and nobody really owns a gun for the 357 sig, plus i dont mind the extra power.

Reload your 9mm and it stays cheap and accurate.

with 9mm or any other straight-wall pistol cartridge, it's very easy to do. I have found a load that my Glock 19 seems to like quite a bit and there is a large variety of bullet types and weights available. If you look at midwayusa.com, they have reloading kits that have nearly everything you need to get started and I would be more than happy to offer tips from my experience reloading 9mm, .40, .38 spl, and 357 mag
