Ammo Survey

Well, this is not so easy, since ammo preference differs as to my application so I'll break it down into 2 different categories.

Range Ammo:
9mm: My own reloads, Federal
.40S&W: Winchester WB
.45ACP: Federal/Blazer
10mm: Whatever I can be lucky enough to find
.357: Don't have one of those. Sam is supposed to buy me one soon.

Defense Ammo:
9mm: Hornady Critical Defense
.40S&W: Winchester Black Talon (I actually still have some left)
.45ACP: Federal Hydra Shok 230g. 2nd favorite: Remington Golden Saber
10mm: Winchester Silver tips

ammo..

^^^^what he said^^^^..

lop would have a 9 if his pard would come thru for him.. Lee was one of the buyers on my brothers guns, and his ruger black hawk 357 was "suposta" have a 9 cylinder..(i saw it so positive on existance) sis n law couldn't find it.. for some odd reason ol pard was cool with that, and he rolls all my 45's and 38's..

when he's out i buy winnie white boxes..

i carry and keep weapons loaded with what i practice with.. heres a fact.. i know my lead rounds from pard are NOT the super man stoper.. i also know that my fmj winnie whites have a bad habit of passing all the way thru.. read this months handguner.. the lead reloads i get are dead solid spot on (yep.) accurate.. they work better than the fmj's and of course the fact that thier target loads would help with any legal issues..

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.

For practice, Win white box. However, I have been having good luck with the academy house brand monarch, .380, 9mm, and .45.

For carry
.380 golden saber and critical defense
9mm ""
.45. Critical defense ans win sxt

Haven't got a .40 yet but I like the critical defense.

Interesting response. It seems several of you prefer your own ammo as opposed to a manufacturers ammo. Interesting indeed.
