Answer to my Letter to Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com
Dear SamD, My name is Anthony Dunkley of Amazon.com's Executive Customer Relations. Jeff Bezos received your e-mail and asked that I respond on his behalf. Freedom States Alliance is actually just one of over 1,000,000 members of the Amazon.com Associates Program. Associates post links to Amazon.com on their sites in exchange for a small percentage of the sales that result when their visitors follow these special links to place an order with us. Please note that we do not endorse the point of view of any of our Associates, nor would we consider ourselves sponsors of their web sites. In fact, our Associates include prominent web sites representing all sides of nearly every important political and social issue of our time. Here are the guidelines we do require of Associates: -------------------------------------------------------------------- * Sites that promote sexually explicit material I hope you find this information helpful. Please feel free to contact me directly at ecr@amazon.com if I may be of further assistance. Regards, Anthony Dunkley |

I actually wanted to believe Amazon.com's response to the most respected member of 2008, then I read their guidelines of requirements for Associates.
I wonder Amazon defines violence. The courts can rule verbal abuse as violent. Is a silent coup not a violent act even if no one gets injured? Is an attack on the constitution not a violent act? If the attack was on the First amendment, would the interpretation be different?
What about discrimination? Correct me if I am wrong; but, Freedom States Alliance discriminates against gun owners.
The attack of the Second Amendment by FSA could be construed as violating Intellectual property, this one is more of a stretch than the others, but someone smarter than me could make the arguement.
I read the response as boiler plate and really not addressing any of the issues that samD wrote about.
thank you

Mr Dunkley,
Truly amazing that on such an important issue such as this, that we would only get a canned/boilerplate response en masse. Sorry but this soothes nothing and only inflames us more!
I would really like to hear from Mr Bezos.
Cordially,
SamD

Although the FSA is an organization of misguided retards, they are no more discriminating against us than we are against them for boycotting Amazon or voting a certain way. Descrimination only really applies when one has authority over another. Amazon's response is fence-straddling mushmouthed BS, pure and simple. They want to make everybody happy and think gun owners are all inbred bubbas who will fall for their crap.

May I ask sir, are you an officer or enlisted? Just curious. You sound way too articulate for a non-com as myself. Tech Sargent USAF, quit after 6!

runawaygun762,
I define discrimination differently than you: To make a clear distinction; distinguish.
Hence FSA has distinguished themselves as anti-gun lobbyist. They prejudge gun owners based on achetypes rather than merit of individuals. I see this as discrimination. Perhaps I am misguided...but I doubt it.

I've been in the army for 13 years, I'm still only a staff sergeant, and I graduated from a Missouri public high school with a 1.8 GPA. It takes hard work to be that dumb. My secret? I poop a lot. And like most men, I read when I poop. Pooping has done more for my vocabulary and overall intelligence level than any ivy-league university ever could. Quick poop trivia; I don't know if it's true, but I have read that the great John Moses Browning said he came up with the idea for the .50 machine gun while on the crapper. I can believe it, as I have come up with some interesting ideas while dropping the kids off at the pool.

coming from the most respected member of the year, that means a lot. maybe I'll be in the running next year, but I'm pretty sure Rhager, BenJB, NavySeal, and FreedomMilitaria are in the bunker making plans for a combined smear campaign. WELL BRING IT ON!!! Nope, i'm still not intimidating. Oh well.
samD
I would like to thank you for your service and commitment to this country.
We need more like you!

I believe you have swayed my view of discrimination; congratulations. but I'm pretty sure we all prejudge based on those your "archtypes". I had to use quotations because that word is way too intelligent for me and I wouldn't feel right if someone thought I used it first. Anyway, I am sure there are good people that work for, or are members of, FSA. There are good people everywhere, just misinformed. This is why we as gun owners need to be more approachable and less hostile to those who don't know us. As for the ones who do know us and still maintain their socialist, liberal, anti-American views, I hope they die and rot in the ground.

This Jeff Bozo guy got one of his flunkies to answer the email instead of manning-up and answering it himself. That, to me, is an insult. It says to me, "I don't have time for you, so I will have one of my underlings take care of such a trivial matter." If someone smashes you in the mush, you don't send in one of you boys to retaliate, you do it yourself. Having a subordinate take care of your affairs is a cowards way of doing business.
You did well to ask for him directly. Hold his feet to the fire.

well this guy seems to be contradicting himself since Freedom States Alliance is promoting the disarming of law abiding citizens and therefore promoting violence against them by criminals.
