If you really want to get one sooner than 6 months, try gunbroker.com. That's where I got my G34 last week. I ran into the same thing around here, they were all on backorder, but found a new in box on gunbroker. You just have to get a FFL dealer to agree to accept it for you, which they all gladly do for a small fee.

I've had a Glock 23, since 1980 and have tried many holster types. I have
never been fully satisfied with any. I recently bought a couple from Galco
which are affordable. The degree of cant on their holsters seem to be a bit high. It makes you nearly have to be in a forward leaning angle to efficiently draw (my opinion,of course). ElPaso Saddlery also makes a nice
holster you can get some decoration on. Kramer, for horse hide (I have several).nuff said. g23 is a great conceal piece for the cartridge. But if you want the truth; I carry mine "Mexican" style. Caviat emptor; I do not advise this type of carry !!!

I lived most of my life in CA. I purchased an H&K SP89 in CA before the ban took place and then when the ban kicked in I sold it for 3 times what paid for it. I purchased for around $1200 and sold it for $3500. I actually wish I still had that weapon.

Don't worry, when CA goes bankrupt, they'll do away with the state constitution and laws and you can start all over. :-)

I looked around on gunbroker, but The police supply store in Tucson charges the "Blue price" for all law enforcement and active military, so when it comes in, I'll only have to pay 480 dollars for a new G34. The savings is worth the wait.

I even put 2 guitars up for sale on ebay, to finance my purchase. Local guy has one for $500.00 NIB; With the cost of ammo going up daily, I wanted something I could afford to shoot.

I've found plenty of ammo on Gunbroker.com but one is likely to pay twice the going rate... Lotsa' speculaters at that website, so rather than deplete what little supply I have, I'm goin' for .22LR which still seems to be readily available.

My oldest son just bought the S&W 1911PD in .45ACP caliber. It's a very sweet pistol with a smooth as glass action. He has to like it because he's went through some Springfield XD's, Ruger P series, and several other pistols but, didn't keep them long. The S&W 1911PD he carries around like it's a baby. I'm glad he's finally found that special one he's been looking for.

No Reaper he didn't. I think he may buy them later on. I know he wished he could have gotten them though. He said he felt lucky to even get the S&W pistol because the guns were flying out the door at the gun shops that he went to. He had his eye on a Kimber at one shop but when he went the next day to get it, the shop owner was selling it to a guy when my son walked in the door. He went to another shop and found the S&W 1911PD NIB and was holding it when the guy that bought the Kimber at the other shop walked in. My son laughed and told the guy you aint getting this one. My son told me that there wasn't a lot to choose from at any of the gun shops and every shop was low on ammo. I reload so it's only once or twice a year that I go to a gun shop to buy anything.
