Matches? If you qualified to buy a rifle, what did you get?
Do you still enter the matches?
What kind of rifle do you use in matches?
They still have some interesting rifles for sale.
I shot a CMP sponsered match about a month and a half ago.... I shot as issued class, so I used a Berretta M9 and a M16A4. But definatly something I want to get more into. Sorry I couldn't give you more info.
I used my Argentine Mauser, a bolt gun.
Had no trouble keeping up with the semi-
auto guys, even in the 10rd rapid fire
with reload. You have NRA affiliated clubs
in Kileen? Around here it is more than
an hour's drive to the nearest matches.
I'd like for you to post updates as you
shoot more matches!
I'm trying to find a good one. We have one within 10 miles, but they are glock snobs... If you don't shoot glocks, they act like you don't know shit. I took 3rd overall in the III corp combat marksmanship tournament, but I'm not up to their standards since I don't like glock! What a bunch of morons!
I'm curious, do they shoot a 50yd set?
Anyway, it was interesting how the old
1911A1 .45's could punch the black out
of 50yd targets. Wonderful guns.
First off, I LOVE MY 1911'S!!! I shot pistol, rifle, and multigun. The only thing I didn't shoot was shotgun.with riflr we engaged out to 500yards down to 50 yards. Several of these engagements were timed and preceeded by a one-mile run in full gear and body armor. Most pistol engagements were within 25 yards, but one set was 50 yards. They also had two suprise engagements, 600 yard shot with M-24 rifle and 2 targets at 200 yard with AK47 on full auto.
I've shot IDPA, but have never heard of these.
promoting civilian marksmanship
(that's means better shootin' for the public school grads)
work! All I shot was 3 position bull's eye.
Sounds like you had some fun!
a 10X scope? By what people have
told me that's one one heck of a
nice rifle. Much better effective
range than the M-21, right?
until now, there's a group
just up the road less than 10 miles.
Looks like fun.
i believe that is correct, but not 100% suer. and yes, a very sweet rifle. It was a lot of work in the texas sun, but had a blast!
