can someone tell me what is up with all this "pre ban" "post ban"labeling on ar parts?the assult weapons ban is over,so why the old labels for threaded barrels and bayonette lugs?im currently building an ar15 and all this is confusing on top of the california legal circus of retarded laws to be "in compliance".

This is interesting as i had written something on this then deleted, as i though i might be pushing the envelope... This is NOT a bad idea, what i was going to write is that we have a dealer (small ma and pa) in Wickenburg that has a lot of cali customers.. he's a friend, and i would be GLAD to do this.. I know he has a lot of cali guys who drive over, but yep, would be happy to be involved.. Mike if you want to do pursue this pm me..and we can exchange phone numbers and go from there.. still FFL of course but otherwise not a problem.. Look at your map and folllow 60 into az.. right before wickenburg you can see 89 and track up it to my peeples valley.. yarnell if ya got a cheap one.. anyway.. This is a no problem at this end.
Even get to show you my range and homestead when ya pick it up.. later all time for bed.

i allready have my billet lower, sent it back to the manufacturer to have the billet upper matched.if anyone is interested www.sonju.net is the manufacturer.they make parts for aircraft as well.cacustactical.com and a few others are listed on sonju's website.i bought my lower online through one of their dealers and had it shiped to a local gunshop where i filled out the paperwork.im building my first one,so im not super educated on them but from all the others ive seen this company makes the best in my opinion.my brother served two tours in the sandbox so he is verry familiar with this type of weapon and he was verry impressed with the quality.they make two diferent types of billet lowers in your choice of 6061 7075 or titanium alloy gen1 standard shape and gen2 renforced with integral winter trigger guard billet gen1 a2 a3 and gen2 flattop with top and side picitini rail and no forward assist, and they make forged.hope that helps you guys who are looking to get an ar into califuckya the legal way.

My best friend in the whole world (almost 30 years now) keeps his Drivers License and truck registration in Arizona. All I have to do is find an FFL near his brothers house.

Anything labeled post ban was made between 1994 and 2004, when the AWB was in effect. Anything labeled preban was made prior. I think some are calling anything made after the sunset of the AWB in 2004 "no ban".

thanks for the info.so i shouldnt be in any sort of federal violation to assemble my ar with a threaded barrel and bayonet lug now that the ban is over right?its hard to find correct up to date info,it seems they like keeping us in the dark about the legality of weapons.like they want us to say fuck it and give up because we cant find info on the topic we search for.any idea what sites i can look at to find up to date legal info from BATF?

make sure you're in complete compliance. Wouldn't want your "Republican" Governator to come and lop your head off with his Conan sword.

ya,im afraid the govenator is playing for the other team.california law is fairly easy to find and i can have a suprising amount of goodies as long as i have a "fixed" magazine.cali law says a detachable magazine is removable without a tool,so the bullet buton makes your ar legal in any configuration as long as the barrel length is at least 16"and overall lenght is 30''or more i belive.i figured the bullet buton is the best answer to the california law because it is easily changed in another state to be detachable and i think i can put a small stud on the fingertip of a glove to operate the mag release because the glove would be considered a tool.the benifit of a fixed mag configuration here in califucya is you can then legaly have telescoping stocks, pistolgrips, flashiders ect and be compliant.with a detachable mag you have to get rid of your pistolgrip and allot of other tacticool goodies are then non compliant when used on your weapon.www.tenpercentfirearms.com has legal info and links to other legal info as well as compliance parts and accesories for sale for ar15 ak ect on their website, for any other cali residents out there.keep in mind cali allso has a list of non compliant makes and models of ak ar15 manufacturers you must not use here,or you must have registered them at some earlier date, assembling or possing one of the listed weapons will be considered a fellony by the state of CADOJ.

or any meeting in your local area about gun laws/control, go and ask the same question the schuyler wrote in his letter...'exactly how does this new law work as far as keeping weapons from the criminals'

Or move out

Let the liberals run that state into the ground. Come join our forces here in the southwest as we prepare to retake California and begin again. It'd be easier if all the decent folk moved out so we could simply kill everyone we see when we get there.

i agree, this state is so fucked up,the hippies think if you pretend there are no badguys they dont exist.the bad guys love that and take advantage of new gun laws, because they dont care if its illegal or not, that makes them better armed than an average citizen.rules and regulations about everything.i was in sanfrancisco during the obama election and actualy heard some people saying how they were no longer friends with sombody cuz they voted for mccain.thats not verry"tolerant"is it?i hate it here.like your pic of the lone biker of the apacalypse RUNAWAYGUN!

It's a still of Randall Cobb playing "the warthog from hell" in Raising Arizona.

Course it's been a long time since I've seen the movie. I just remember Nick Cage calling him a warthog from hell. Either way, Randall Cobb was a baddass.

He played in that movie with Gene Hackman and Patrick Swayze. Great flick
