AR rifle

I have officially started saving for my AR. The wife set me up with a separate savings account. I do quite a bit of work with copper and have a lot of left overs. Now everything I recycle goes into my AR savings! yeeeeeeha I love my wife!! It was her idea for the savings account. Besides I don't have access to it, even better!

grease you are a good person don't let that idiot neighbor bring you down. Just continue to take the high road as you have done. It's not like the old days where men settled things out behind the barn and then had a beer together.
The copper scrap I took off my truck last weekend came up to 150.00. I figure it should be around the end of summer when I'll be ready for my dream to come true. Thank you, for the word on the extras, I'll be letting you know. Shit I'm all excited again!!

I throw a lot of really good brass valves away because my recycler doesn't want it. I have a piece in my truck right now that weighs 10-15 lbs, bright and shiney. No one wants it here!

That just dont seem right.
The last time i hauled copper in, they didn't even care that some brass was in the mix.
They just ran a magnet over it, weighed it all and handed me cash.

I want one!

Hey guys,
I am also trying to save up to build a "zombie" gun.
let me throw out some general questions and see where it goes.
First one is caliber. should I go 5.56 or 7.62? The next question is on lowers and uppers. From what I have heard from my friends it seems like a "Chevy vs Ford" argument. I have heard nothing bad about Noveske but have gotten mixed reviews on rock river, DPMS, Colt, and Bushmaster. Price is a factor. I would love to have a Noveske, but if I can't get it what is the next best thing. As for the barrel, that is a whole other argument. What do you guys say?
I also have a stand alone zombie gun account and am trying to sell some stuff on ebay to pay for it. If anyone wants a great deal on a Eagle Industries drop leg tactical holster in the ACU pattern let me know. I sell them on ebay for $45 but if anyone wants one for $40 with a 2nd mag pouch let me know. I also have a S.T.O.M.P II medical pack for sale but it is not listed on ebay. Send me an email if your interested in any of the stuff I have mentioned. scotsman65@yahoo.com. and I can save you some money if I don't have to jack with ebay.

All I need is some ammo, some water, some chips if you've got'em...

Bushmaster and DPMS are owned by the same parent company. When you start asking about M4geries (thanks runaway) everyone has an opinion on which is best. You might get a better response asking who the best NASCAR driver or WWE Superstar is...

I have had good luck with LMT

I will be back in the US again in June to move down to Florida. I have a single point sling adapter, if you think you will use it I will send it for your AR? (Blackhawk).

I bought it, but found out my Magpul sling hook didn't fit on it right, so I just bought the magpul brand which was obviously compatible.

Let me know and email your address if you want it...

From everything I have read on other blogs, here and from friends...you can't go wrong with the simple philosophy of ABC-Armalite, Bushmaster and Colt for ARs. I myself have a Stag Arms AR15 (2). I like mine and Stag has entry level models for 850 or so:
http://www.stagarms.com

In addition, I read great reviews on Knights Armament (I guess the Navy Seals use these), but they are expensive.

Stag ARms supplied parts for a lot of the big name makers for years, then decided to do their own guns.
