Can anyone tell me whether it's better to buy a AR or any weapon from the gun show or your local firearms dealer? We have a gun show coming up the first week in August and I plan on being there. This will be my first AR and a serious investment for me. So any insight/suggestions will be much appreciated!

someyhing like that i would say local dealer....mostly because of warrenty and if the is something wrong you know where to go. Gun show sellers can be very hard to track down once the deal is made.

A gun show purchase can be a viable option. There are very reputable gun show sellers that offer the same warranties as the store seller. The biggest problem is where to return the gun if there is a warranty issue. It could be that any dealer would accept the warranty. You just need ask questions.

you should just buy a gun that doesn't break. Worked for me until I bought the Henry survival rifle. Then a quick call to the factory had a new stock shipped out.
