assault rifle supply

I went around to 4 different gun shops today. Most were sold out or had a VERY low stock of semi auto rifles. I talked to the shop owners/managers and all said they had been trying to order more all day. Only one of the shops was able to still purchase rifles and it was directly from the manufacturer. He said bushmaster wont sell to them anymore, and colt is the only place they can still get rifles, but colt has raised the price $500 per rifle (and thats their wholesale price)-(yes greasy, the manufacturer raised the price, not the shop owner). Not one of the shops had an AK. I saw 2 M1's, one FAL,a couple mini 14's and a few straggler AR's... besides that the rifle shelves were empty.

Is anyone else experiencing this in other parts of the country?

i went to one gun store today trying to locate a dpms in 308 caliber and he tried 2 places and neither one had any or a time frame on availability. one of the places he called just got a remington r25 in for a customer that had been on order for some time. it seems that any semi-auto other than 223/5.56 is getting harder to get. i do not know if this is due to our new future president or not, or if it is just because everyone is getting scared of the thought of more gun control because of the new anti gun people who will be in control of our country

I am in Virginia this week. I was looking at some armalites, bushmaster and DPMS. The prices are jacked up to around 1400 bucks. The flattop .223 was 900.

I was just in Paducah, KY. this weekend and they had a lot of AR's, SR-25's, SR-15's, and M1A's at the Gander Mtn. store. Nothing had when up yet. I talked to a friend of my back home in Indiana and he said they are raising the prices on everything powder, mags, rifles. When to a little gun show that has very little business normally and said there was a line out front and he had to wait 20 minutes just to get in. Said, it was wall to wall people in there and everything was maked up.

pretty busy

i went to a couple shops in SLC and they were busy. lots of semis and pistols flying off the shelves, but they still have number of AR15's. i didnt see prices going up yet. i have been looking for a mossberg 590 and found a number of online stores are sold out. seems like people are arming themselves before we see unfavorable changes in our 2nd amendment rights.

Smart people,

Smart people, better to have and not need than need and not have.

need and not have

exactly fordvg, being prepaired is how the strong survive.

with that said, what kind of gear does everyone consider essentials?
