I was thinking, and yes it hurt, that we should try to faze out the term assault rifle. The admin and their ilk are going to beat the drums on this term.
How about just call them what they are, semi-automatic rifles. Some just have high capacity magazines, but all could be used for hunting.

I watch part of the Michael Moores, "Bowling for Columbine" late last night. That guy makes me want to puke. He has no idea of how to differentiate between gun enthusiasts and whacko serial killers.

Just a thought but what does anyone else think?
