Assault Weapons

I just wanted clarification- are assault weapons (such as assault rifles or sub-machine guns) legal, or illegal? The Clinton Weapons Ban only lasted until 2004, but I would like to have a more complete understanding of the law regarding assault weapons. I live in New Hampshire, so the California weapon laws don't apply to me.

Assault Weapons

Clinton Weapon ban really wanted to ban semi-auto shotgun to but thank God someone had the balls to block it from being added to the list. They are saying any firearm that you can shoot more than 2 rounds. They wanted to take almost all the guns in one bill.

Not in KY you can.

Not in KY you can. It has to be a centerfire rifle caliber in KY. LOL

Go to NRA website...I posted a link a while back, but there is a section where you can go to each state's laws...very informative.

Try this one:

Look around the site and I recommend you join NRA if you are not a member already.

Please do not use the term assault weapon. It makes no sense, assault is an action defined by...

Main Entry: assault
Pronunciation: \ə-ˈsȯlt\
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English assaut, from Anglo-French, from Vulgar Latin *assaltus, from assalire
Date: 14th century
1 a: a violent physical or verbal attack b: a military attack usually involving direct combat with enemy forces c: a concerted effort (as to reach a goal or defeat an adversary)
2 a: a threat or attempt to inflict offensive physical contact or bodily harm on a person (as by lifting a fist in a threatening manner) that puts the person in immediate danger of or in apprehension of such harm or contact

And you could have just said weapon in reference to clintons' unconstitutional weapon ban given that is pretty much how the libs defined it.
