Aussie Gun Laws

Can anybody tell me the legal age for a gun license and if possible what caliber restrictions are in Australia.

Are carbines illegal?
Are you only alowed single fire weapons?

Any help would be great. Cheers to anyone who can help me out.

I live in australia and i think you have to be 18 to own any type of gun but you can get a license to fire your parents weapons.
Most Semi-automatic and i think all automatic guns are illegal to most people but you can get licenses that allow then but you usually have to deactivate them
