I was @ a gunshop and the guy working in firearms gave me a Barnes Bullets DVD. What really caught my attention was their Varmint Grenade bullets, that explode on contact. On that DVD, there is a video of prairie dogs being shot with the Varmint Grenade, and it is crazy! 1 second they are there, the next they are flying 15 feet in the air in a thousand pieces(these bullets are just for purposes of getting rid of high population pests, such as Prairie Dogs.) So what do u think about this ammo? Has anybody ever used it? "Bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when scared half to death." — Gen. Omar Bradley

Any varmint calibers will shoot them. 17,204,222,223,22-250,243,25-06 are a few. Ballistic tips do the same thing.
