what a worthy question...I did and shot many guns. They did not have a xd(m) 9mm...however the xd .45 kicked enough ass to sell me on the xdm. Now I just need to find one.

it was easily the second best gun I fired today...the best was 1911 colt serries 70 that has all been worked on greatly...2.5lb trigger that is what i am talking about

That's just what I do. I buy mid range .45's like rock island, and then, out comes the box. I made the initial purchase and got the sear jigs, stones,ect.... And mod mine till I'm happy.

XDm first. That was my point on the 1911 taurus is making it for $700 you can add $500 in machining or extras and you are at the point where everyone else is starting.

when I went on Auction Arms first thing you do is register.Its fast and easy.Then you find the gun you want.If you find the gun you want. you log in and first thing you wanna do is check out the seller. see how many guns he hsa sold and how many complaint s he had,If that passes your test and you want to bid, go ahead. usaully they'll tell you how many bids are on it and how much time is left on the auction. Or you can email the seller and ask as many questions you want about the gun.If he's good you'll get an answer the next day.if you want the gun you might also to Buy now like i did.You thencan find a FFl dealer close to you on the same sit. I found one 5 minutes from my hose and it only cost me 20 bucks.Some of these jokes wanted 50- 60 dollars!!!!f that!!! they will then make a copy of your gun card and licence, make you fill out a form and fax all the info to the seller.after you and the seller settle on how you will pay.....check money order or credit card. as soon as he gets your payment. he shipps your gun to thr FFL dealer and the call you when it arrives. The seller will probably charge you 20=30 dollers for shipping.added to your final price.

it is a pain, but i wanted a certain gun that was hard to get around here.If you can get it local by all means go that route.Don't forget i bought used,If you buy new you don't need any site, mOST GUNSHOPS WILL MATCH THE BEST PRICE YOU FIND.DUDE ,ask away i don;t mind.it takes about a week to order you a gun if its not at the shop.When I bought my Taurus new, i had to wait the 72 hours that Illinois requires.

Hey, I understand. I don't like Glock's. To me they have the ergomatics of a brick. That's why there are so many succsesfull firearms manufactuers. But you must admit, the 1911 have been in production for 98 years with only 3 design changes, that does say something about the gun.

But, I will say that i would get a 1911 before i bought a Glock.My shooting buddy has a Glock 19 and loves it....despite that he is still my friend.

Because the Glock wasn't around in 1911. ugly, most sites will let you order from them and they will send the gun to an FFL holder who will do the ATF Foem 4473. Most FFL holders charge a nominal fee, 20-30 dollars, for using their FFL. Some places I've talked to will let you have guns shipped to them for free if it's a gun they don't stock.
