We would booze all weekend in garrison when we had to qualify. Monday morning we would be marching out to the range just sweating out the beers. Guys would fall out to puke and get back in formation. I guess now adays the military is really bad about drinking. Times have changed. No underage drinking,

A lifetime ago i was big into archery.
Went to a competition i aimed to excell in.
Got there a little late...the initial socializing was over and they were beginning to warm up.
Beer cans strewn all over hellen's creations...
Some kocky superstar acting guy was shooting 'darts' at (as i remember) about a fourty yard target.
He dangled a beercan in fingers of the hand holding the bow...
He placed the first one about dead center of the bullseye...
he finished the beer (obviously one of many previous) and took aim again
the second arrow split the first one
another chug, another arrow...this one put side damage in the second arrow.
I quietly went down the range, kept a private score i never submitted.
Never went to another meet.
Nor witnessed such shooting: sober or pickled...
