I've never shot beretta but always wanted one i have a chance to get one know but i keep reading bad reviews on here. is this a good gun or am i going wrong with this gun.
i had a beretta 96 in .40 cal for quite a while i had no issues with this gun even after about 500 rounds and the gun i had was used!i didnt even clean it till i sold it.
well thats good to here. these beretta 92/96 have been around for a long time i could'nt imagine them being as bad as i was reading .
they are picky with ammo, and are harder to field strip than many other handguns. You usually have to keep them very clean or they are prone to jam. I just feel that fro the price, there are a lot of better options out there. If I were going to buy a new handgun, beretta would be pretty low on my list. (my personal opinion)
I disagree with reaper308 I have carried the 96 for years and shot thousands of rnds without a jam. The piece is heavy and large which dampens recoil and fits my mitt. I suspect a hung rnd is more due to fatigued wrist or recoil slide spring. A 40 hydro will leave a cavity in a the chest large enough for you to stick your head through.
They do not point as well as many other guns, but the majority of the bad press stems from the magazines that went to Iraq with the M9 pistols. Those mags kinda suck. I don't like the Beretta as much as many other guns, but I would trust my life to one.
I have one in 9MM and I love it the wife does to
Done some lookin around on wikipedia and found this......enjoy!
