So what gun/s do you have that shoot. I've got hunting rifles from the 10/22 to the 7mm mag. I've got several handguns that include a 1911 and a glock. Whats your favorite?

My favorites personally are from H&K, the USP Compact, and P30LS. My baby is the MP5F, but I have many others. Several AR15 based, AR10s, some custom Benelli Supernovas, and more.

stick around here a while and post some pics and specs,especially of the ar's! I'm building my second ar platform (mega MA TEN)and would like some ideas for it.

Sure thing Jay. Oh and Jay, all my AR's, every one of them is Mega Arms, all of them have the monlithic uppers (you got good taste my man). The AR10 on the rack (that's being built) in the video is a MA-TEN.

It was just easier to shoot a quick video, the lighting it really really poor, its very dark and late here, but what can you do right.

that was quick!haha.cant wait to see more.figured id try out a mega this time got a decent deal too 750 for the set with california bullet button,and 4 dpms magazines the mags are about 30 each and the button is 20 ish so basically its like getting the mega set for 600 and parts ida needed anyway at fair price,if ida got my money together sooner i coulda had a jp enhanced bolt for 50 more,but since i didn't tell him id take it for sure he sold it...my buddy bought the mega but decided against the build since they now make ambi models and thats what he wanted,and he's into pistols allot more nowadays.my other ar ar15 is a sonju si defense billet matched set as well a nice lower priced higher quality set.both are for multi use,hunting mostly.

guess you would be the guy to ask since you seem well versed with mega.i know i can use any handguardthats compatible with dpms,but the ma ten shares a rail height with sr25/armalite?obviously there are some rails that will and some that won't bridge this gap. so I'm wondering what rails do you know of that will fit(and match)the rail of ma ten,and how is the dpms/armalite gap bridged?is it as simple as the hand guard being the same internal thread for either barrel nut so you buy the armalite hand guard and a dpms not from the manufacturer or what?

Jay, I didn't forget about this question. I am checking some some friends in the industry that run companies like Samson, Daniel Defense, and others.

Give me just a bit longer to find the perfect fit to suitable price answer.

no rush,just wondering about it since I'm totally unfamiliar with any ar10 type platform/products.its kinda confusing since it is a non standardized weapon so cross compatibility is fairly limited,and then i hear armalite and dpms both have semi recently changed the rail heights they use,this further complicates and limits hand guard choices.im sure ill learn lots,and it will all be worth it though.

This is DI or Piston?

it will be a di,although i understand the potential benefits of a piston i can't justify one for this build since the weapon will likely never fire more than 100 rounds before cleaning,and is being built for a fun hunting tool primarily
