i need guidance in the arena of shotguns, i never really got into them to much and dont know to much about them. im looking for your suggestions as far as what shotgun and why. thanks for the help

i would be hunting (biggest...just elk, smallest...human j/k deer) and then target practice. i dont need it for home security, i got a MP45 for that

check into the mossberg

check into the mossberg maverick 88 or the remmington 870 and your going to want to get a rifled barrel for it.

Answer.....sorta

An 8 guage if you're going after big game.
10-12 guage for medium.
Anything after that is small game.

And that guy who said get a rifled barrel is spot on.
