My last post vaporised.

Vaquero, it wouldn't work. Native Americans have been shit on so badly for so many years by the federal government that they wouldn't do a damn thing to help. What promises could be made to them that they'd believe? The feds have broken every promise that's ever been made to them, and they all know this by having to live with it every day.
I'm kind of an activist about this. My wife & I have relatives and friends that are Native Americans, and have seen how they're treated all our lives.

It sounds simple.
South Padre Island would have to be included.
A real honest Las Vegas on the sea.
San Diego, and El Paso, two of the largest ports of entry.
I don't know about you, I would rather have 3 Mexican drug gang members after me than 1 hell bent whiskey drunk Comanche.
Give the "Indians" real control.
No "token" crap.
They understand a dollar as well as a Jew or Mexican.
They will not do it for "US".
They will do it for the tribe.
They must have sovereignity.
ecaman
Maybe, Vaquero, if you honestly gave them sovereignty over the entire border, several miles wide, all the way from Texas to California. Make it their land, their own country. I have Apache friends, and they defend their land very, very well.
You could do the same thing all along the northern border. The Souix would be pretty damned effective at keeping anyone out.
Vaquero
True Warriors, yet peaceful when undisturbed.
An absolute wonder and treasure.
I love these people.
I am not being asinine.
The whole damn border, no restrictions!
Vaquero
I am 5th generation born in usa.
Dads family was from Norway, Mom's side from England, and they still have the "family crest".
I just happened to be 3rd gen west tx.
Yrp, redneck.
zx12rmike
Vaq West Texas family crest is on a Budweiser can, lololol

ecaman, if you want the Native Americans to patrol the border, a bounty must be paid. I guaranty if they start taking scalps, there would be a very small problem.
Vaquero
Really, you tell em it's thiers.
You will pay to cross!

Border Patrol, Apache, maybe there are some Old Ones left that have been taught by Grand Parents, how to take a human life. These wounderfull Bastards were Blood Thirsty!!

Ask an Indian, TEE Shirt, yes I've seen it out here on tee's, also the First Boarder Patrol,
With,Geronamo, and his Nephew (or Son) with 2 other Apache Braves. The Southern Indians look so much different than the Plains Indians. I go to church with a full blood PAW NEE. His brothers still live the Triditional life. He tell of his people as being the Blood Thirsty Ones. I'm shure their more Tribes of the same nature.

makes me remember a time when I felt blessed.
Back when the space shuttle exploded and was
scattered over the western half of the US
A tribe of Navajo Indians was bussed into Texas
to search for parts of the wreckage.
I had the privilege of meeting three honest
to God " Wind Talkers" from WW11.
They were the elders of the tribe and when
the tribe came into town for supplies the elders
stood at the door of Wal Mart with arms folded
over their chest just watching.
I did get to talk with them and I don't know if
anyone had ever said Thank You to them
but I did.
zx12rmike
Wind Talkers, would have been honored to meet them!!
Vaquero
You were blessed.
I spent 2 weeks in Chinle, AZ. working alongside these people.
The "coffee shop" was where the elders met daily.
The back room was the code talker room.
It really made me appreciate everything these people stand for.
Just like all WWII vets, there are not many left.
samD
borders Mexico to the west & south of Tucson. It is wide open to the smugglers and coyotes. Me thinks them Indians is getting a kick back.
Vaquero
they'll all follow suit.
Wont nothing cross without their blessing then.
You know I'm right.
CharlesW
Make them mezkins pay for the trip

Vaquero

that I have ever delt with was in Page AZ years ago. We were at a strip
mall gathering supplies while at Lake Powell and there were at least 10
of these poor bastards passed out on the ground, you literally had to
step over them to get into the shops. I mean no disrespect but the
Indians sure can't handle their "fire water", it's no wonder booze is
banned on the REZ.
