Browning Hi-Power Question
Maybe one of you guys can help me. I have a friend I shoot with who has a Belgium Browning Hi-Power made in 1938. The blueing on this thing looks great, I'd say about 95%. Actually, the blueing looks better than I see on most new blued guns. Anyway, it shoots really nice too. He is asking around 600 for it, I know what a new Browning goes for, but for one in this condition and one this old, I'm not sure if that's a good price or not. So, your thoughts please. Thanks. |

if its about 95% like you say, then yes it is worth that much and possibly more. of course what a pistol is worth in the end matters only to you, but if it were me id take it.

Ok, thanks mosinfreak. I might go for it then. This thing is beautiful. He also had a P38 that his Dad's friend took off of a German officer after he shot him. Had the matching serial numbers with magazines and the matching hoslter. Nice peice. That one is not for sale. But the Browning really caught my eye.

I'm not entirely sure on the Browning but like Mosin said there is a good possibility that it is worth more especially in that condition. Jump on google and just search for one for sale. Honestly after 50 years I think it's considered an antique, so I think you're making out with that deal.

Wow Sam D they want 3000 minimal for that thing. I'm going to give my friend a call and take another closer look at his. It's not a Nazi one, so it's probably not worth the 3000 dollars this one on gunbroker is, but it looked to be in even better shape than this one. Thanks.
