Say fellow shooters, I got into a heated discussion with a hood rat. we where discussing tactics. I am from the school of bullet placement with the least amount time and rounds. Double taps as quickly as possible until target is down. That is why I am happy with a wheel gun(357). Autos do however have their purpose.

He was telling me that he thinks you should unload as many rounds as possible. Suppressive fire is what I know this by. May be it is just his homeboy glock mentality but I know he is a fool for unloading his clip. So what do you think?

They only know how to shoot one way and thats dumping out mags holding their hand sideways. I myself can dump 5-6 rounds out of a revolver faster than that homie can dump his 17 round mag from his stolen glock. Using simple handgun tactics.

Thats what assault weapons are for. AK's and AR's. I love to rapid fire with these. Machine guns are the coolest.

But above I am talking real world on the street at the 7 eleven. But then again this is Dallas, Tx.

im with you death. two shots and pause. repeat if you don't put em down and out. first thing... you don't want to waste all of you ammo, there could be another threat (wolves travel in packs), secondly, your gonna have to justify yourself in court. its gonna be harder to justify defense if you put 20 rounds in someone's ass.

That's the hardest lesson to teach someone from this Vin Diesel generation that as a licensed concealed weapon holder I am held to a higher standard than some innocent guy defending his home. In a court of law its hard to explain why you dumped 17 rounds into a punk! Even in Texas with the castle law you have a duty to stop a threat not kill a threat. If you happen to kill his ass with 2-3 well placed shots...oh well. Stopping the threat is your intention.

They know their grams, ounces, kilo's, what more do you wan from them? Algebra? more like if one nigzar leaves his house at 2 am with his gat and 40 in hand, and his homeboy leaves his house at 2:30 am and they live 20 blocks away, which would get to the soup kitchen first?

A double tap to the chest and or one in the head....assuming its a real threat. So when in the range, you might want to employ the same principle. You need not empty your mag in one go.

This morning I woke up and next door at the vacant house 2 trucks were parked. One was still running. 2 guys were stealing rims off a truck. I could have capped their asses but they where not on my property and just kids. They were real fast though because they were gone in a flash. i called the cops. Vacant house are a magnet for drugs and crime.

Kind of like what Joe Horne did down here. Killed to burglers who came out of his neighbors house. The laws are very tricky concerning crimes that don't threaten you directly.

That's what I like about our Castle Doctrine laws here. If you have a legal right to be there, you have a legal right to defend against a threat. I know the cops in Houston are probably a lot faster than the ones in this little town but I'd still want to help 'em out by slowing down the idiots. I'd like to think I'd risk some legal trouble to keep my neighbor from being robbed. But then, this is a small town...

That's why these little punks do what they do. They've been held accountable for what they do before and so they think they can go and take what doesn't belong to them and no one will do anything about it.

Their poor pathetic lives are too important, and so they don't have the time to get involved, until some punk rapes their kid, or breaks into their house, or kills a neighbor or relative.

THEN...they get involved.

if we as citizens were allowed to use a little old west justice like tar and feathers things would get better and you can spot a criminal better when covered in tar and feathers

Hey Death from Above,
I agree with you about shot placement. I don't care if you are hunting, shooting, defending, or assaulting; you should always put the first bullet on target. Why else do we spend so much time at the range seeing if we can drive a bullet through the same hole in the target? I would use my examples and break it down like so...

Hunting: humane kills
shooting: one word--zeroing
defending: double tap, look for another aggressor
assaulting: kill target, find next, repeat

I am of the school that you conserve your ammo because we live in dynamic times and you never know who is behind the next corner. You need to be cocked, locked, and ready to rock. Swaping magazines takes to much time.

In that type of situation and would choose either a 45ACP or at least a 357mag if not a 44mag revolver and shoot to kill not waste or scater rounds like head and chest shots.

Hey, that guy in Texas shot those two illegals and they were on his neighbor's property...last I heard, we was going to be cleared, anyone in TX familiar with the case?

I agree about not emptying the mag though...if you can take him down with two shots...better to do that in case there are more!
