it would seem that different rules apply to different people. Are we saying that it is okay to profile when selling gun's but at no other time? I would not expect this type of verdict from a TX jury.

I have a friend who is a 100% Hispanic Texan American citizen whose prize possession is his cowboy hat. And a finer fellow you could never meet. His entire family is composed of veterans. His older brother is retired air force and my friend, Jose, was both in the Navy and Air Force. His English is probably better than mine.

There IS a difference between "Cowboy" clothes and "Western" clothes[including hats]. How can you tell the difference?? Go to your local Cowboy Action Shooting site, and you will see the difference. The "old timers" will be wearing authentic Cowboy things and the beginners will be just starting to accumulate the real stuff, while mixing in "Western" items. [ small example: Cowboy shirts do not have snaps, but Western shirts do]. I know this is nit-picky, but I like to piss y'all off.

I like the idea that the old mans packing a 1911 (or sure looks like it) not sure if he needs the clip point as well.. Got to be honest i like the laughing Jesus a tad better, but thinking he's got to be getting pissed about a couple of things..Maybe he's Just having a "guy" moment, he appears to be pretty serious about the love your neighbor like your self thing..
I moved to AZ in 77.. resisted western boots for a long time, as so many snow birds would come in, and do the "pose" thing.. once you have a pair that fit right.. LIfe's good,.. Only thing is that after all the years of spit shining work boots, i cant get away from it.. so now have a pair of whats around these parts called "goat ropers".. and yep the toe is spit shined enough that if they catch the sun right i can roast your eyeballs at at 10 yds.. .. That's for dress of course..
That whole dress up thing for SASS is the best and the worst of the whole thing.. i think most of us that got half into it, were a tad turned off by "dressing up".. (settle down LLE and Dubya) but on the other hand it does two things.. one it brings women into it.. big time.. and more important it PRESERVES a way of life accurately that would otherwise be lost.. Guys i live in a 1864 developed (and little changed since) area.. History is pretty much all around me, and there's still more horses than ATV that chase cows around..

What's happening in Texas just goes to show that the people in charge don't have a clue as to what they're doing.I've got enough firearms and ammo to secure my property, and I can "process" the illegals just fine thank you. I wonder if the illegal had a credit card too.
