The joke of the week--for a good laugh, read California Penal Code, Section 438b, especially
(b)3(c).

Looks like the California Attorney General needs to enforce this law.

Don't hold your breath!!

VIVA ARIZONA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization
Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is
suspected of being present in the United States in violation of

Yes, but I want to make sure I get the actual code, straight from their books...to ensure authenticity, but I think that one site is it...but it looks very simple to be an official website.

Sent the following to:

Unless I am reading the California law wrong, or just missing something it appears that their law concerning illegal immigrants is very similar to the Arizona Law. I am a simple person, concerned citizen and military veteran who is watching my country being destroyed from within. I am currently working and living in Iraq now supporting the US military but will be returning home after 27 months over here and in Kuwait. I plan on getting more involved in politics locally and nationally. Please put someone on this to check on the similarities between the laws. I am originally from Pennsylvania, will be moving onto another job in Florida but my heart is in and with the people of Arizona where I previously lived for four years. The hightlighted portion is from what I believe is the actual California Law, I found it here:
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/calaw.html

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/calawquery?codesection=pen&codebody=83...

http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/waisgate?WAISdocID=64964117711+2+0+0&W...

The third link is the actualy document, the first two are the pages leading to the actual law. Attached is a word document with the entire section.

834. An arrest is taking a person into custody, in a case and in

the manner authorized by law. An arrest may be made by a peace

officer or by a private person.

834a. If a person has knowledge, or by the exercise of reasonable

care, should have knowledge, that he is being arrested by a peace

officer, it is the duty of such person to refrain from using force or

any weapon to resist such arrest.

834b. (a) Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully

cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization

Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is

suspected of being present in the United States in violation of

federal immigration laws.

(b) With respect to any such person who is arrested, and suspected

of being present in the United States in violation of federal

immigration laws, every law enforcement agency shall do the

following:

(1) Attempt to verify the legal status of such person as a citizen

of the United States, an alien lawfully admitted as a permanent

resident, an alien lawfully admitted for a temporary period of time

or as an alien who is present in the United States in violation of

immigration laws. The verification process may include, but shall not

be limited to, questioning the person regarding his or her date and

States Immigration and Naturalization Service of the apparent illegal

status and provide any additional information that may be requested

Kali has basically the same laws Arizona did before Arizona tightened theirs up! Kali chooses not to so they can get the illegal votes from the illegal aliens.

From what i see...it's almost identical, they (Cali) just chooses not to enforce it...but anyone that knows illegal aliens can be fined.
