Call to Arms
You probably all wonder why I have this silly little picture of a cell dividing into more and more intricate cells, then dividing more and more and more, eventually becomming a human being. The reason is that I believe in Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. If this election turns out the way I surely hope it does not, we will all need to get our shit together. We need to stand up for our "GOD GIVEN FREEDOM" to own and carry our weapons as our founding fathers envisioned. I say never, ever,give up these rights. If you do, you deserve the consequences. When you suddenly realize that your about to die, life seems more interesting. |

I hear you and I am trying to raise my children to value people and life. I have a different take on life. I am a BioChemist, one of the few who believe in proclife stance. But when the cell begins to divide, its a child. The liberals do not like it when a conservative is educated and can mount a argument which is defencable of the unborn.
I also raise the question of paternal rights. If an abortion is to be performed- why shouldnt the father have a say. I am on my fourth child and considering a vesectomy....my wife is required to 'sign off' on the deal.
Also, if we are adults, why can we not defend ourselves? If the unborn are not life, an adult must be defined by life. Why can we not defend ourselves when attacked. Why is the right to self defense in question.
All I want from the liberals is to be consistant. If a fetus is not a life- it does not have the right to protection. If I am therefore life since I am an adult, I should have the right of self defense.
Liberals also leave the responsibility of fathers and families to the government by promoting welfare and single parenting as necessity. We have gone into a bad direction. A child needs a Mom and Dad. That statement alone gets me bad bad biggoted conitations...

Life has beginning and end. It is very simple. People try to make it more complicated than it should be. Every human being dies, but every human being doesn't really live in freedom. Don't ever let anyone take your freedom.

I realize this is an older topic, but I was going through and saw this one. Demo you stated that you believe a father should be able to have a say in an abortion. I agree 100%. In fact I also believe that if a father does not want the child, but the mother does, the father should not have to pay child support. It is not constitutionally correct to give a portion of the population something that the rest of the population is denied.

Well that is why we vote for certain laws and if the majority fells the same way it will change(most of the time). However, ain't shit going to change unless someone gets the ball rolling! I agree with Clint Lebo, The father should have the same rights as the mother. People would argue that the guy should have done something to prevent conseption...why not the mother? Why couldn't she say "hold on, I got this condom or diaphragm"? Baby making isn't a one person act, believe me, I have tried!
