IF you are a christian gun owner... I would like to make your aquaintence,
and introduce myself to you as a christian gunsmith and am asking to and wanting to allign myself with other christians.
I am a "hardcore christian" with a biblical prospective and use the bible as my daily roadmap for life.
I would like to ask you to join with me in support of one another and I realize that this could cause me to be an "outcast".
SO BE IT.
Jesus said if you deny me before man,
then I will deny you before my Father in heaven...end of story.
he also calls us to be bold and go thru out the world to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

make no mistake, I am looking for christian friends, and nothing else.
I am in no way here to "push my views", but merely seeking new friends.

It sounds like you are cut from good cloth. You are
definately in the right place here. For the most part,
we are all good people or at least we try to be.
The majority of us are Christians, though not all.
Guns and conservatism are the common thread in here
but God is always welcome.

We aren't saints, though and passions do run high sometimes.
Especially when Obama and Pelosi get on a tangent. I know
that gets my blood boiling. Explatives will fly on occations
when those two get on a roll.

Welcome to the site and enjoy. We are a motley crew, but
we are all brothers and sisters with a common cause.

Welcome LWGS I'm sure there are a lot of believers here. This site also lets us blow off some steam and harrass samD about current events. Most of the members here are good people with legitimate concerns about our country and the mis adventures of our current leadership! But these people do care.

Our country

started to go to hell when we left all our christian values behind and started this bullshit of how it's not my fault for anything.Put discipline back in our schools and punishment back into our courts this country would be a hell of alot better. Case in point this guy was obviously a boy scout.

Me

Im a christian of the baptist faith. I go to church once in a while. I believe in god. No body will change that much. I am not against different beliefs. I made friends on here of different faiths and religion. But what connects us all here is our beliefs in the 2nd amendment and our right as U.S citizens.

God be with you all.

There is

nothing wrong with religion. I just believe everyone has the right to his/her own beliefs. This country was founded on these principles. It just pisses me off when others try to dictate what they want on all the rest of us. We can't say "merry christmas" we can't put up a nativity scene on gov. property. My liberal friend is against this and asked me what if a Moslem wanted to set up something and was suprised when I told I didnt care this country was based on freedom. And congrats to all you that are clean and sober.

1) Good question I seem to be getting rounder every year
2) Not shur but I believe in heaven/hell after we die and good/bad karma
3) See bearmeat
4) I would have to disagree on this. The universe is huge we have to be arrogant to think this is the only planet God created life on.
5) It's amazing how many people find religion when there facing death.

Examples, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Obama, Cancer, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Lightning, Yugos, Ex-wives, Liberals, Communist, Socialists and all desserts with dried coconut pieces in them? That is not perfection...
Perfection is not a concrete term. If two people roll 300 games in bowling, but one of them has a pin wobble for seconds before it falls, is that perfect?

I personally believe in God and i believe jesus Christ is my savior and died on the cross for my sins. I'm just not impressed. But since Nitris asked a series of questions, I'll play Devil's Advocate. hah hah. Funny, right?

1. Why is every living creature round in one form or another?
A: Nearly everything, given enough time, is rounded. Whether it be a star or a rock after eons of erosion. Sharp edges are more prone to breaking and you can't maintain a point or ridge on anything soft for long. And you notice there are more angular lines on plants than animals, That's because plants' cells are rigid, while the cells in fauna are soft.

2. How can you get life from death?
A: Energy can't be created or destroyed, merely transformed. Seems like as valid a theory as the ability of a being to be killed, shrouded, entombed, then resurrected.

3. How does one get life from a molten lava as told by evolutionists
the big bang theory?
A: Because it makes as much sense as "Well, here's man. Oh, he's got an extra rib? Well, here's woman".

4. why is earth the only planet with life?
A: How do you know it is?

5. Why do humans look for a higher power if there is not one?
A: Because some humans have have such a fear of the unknown (death) that they look for any way possible to comfort themselves.

Here's my thought; God created everything using a process. We evolved from something. Whether current evolutionary theories are correct, or there's another one waiting to come out, I don't know. God gave us curiosity, and he knew we'd want to know about our past. He knew we wouldn't be satisfied when we hit nothing. I also don't think God really knows how things are going to end. he could know, just as we could buy a movie and find out how it ends by skipping ahead. But where's the fun in that? As for the possibility of us having bipedal ancestors such as Cro Magnon man and Neandertals and the others, why not? Animals don't have souls, regardless of what Disney tries to tell us, and I think God was going through various models of people until he created us, decided we were the ones, and gave us souls. The earlier versions were closer to animals and therefore have no religious imortance. I have more, but I need to keep it short enough that the Moral Majority members don't actually destroy their own computers before I finish corrupting them.

Maybe, lonewolf

And I was once where you are. I even used to go as far as make sure the passenger seat of my car was clear for my guardian angel. I'm not a nonbeliever, and I won't ridicule anyone who does believe, but I will also say that quoting the bible to make a point is ineffective to nonbelievers, because anyone can write a book and there are many books that have survived even longer than the bible. Nitris, I can't prove there is life on other planets, but you can't disprove it, and there's more evidence to show the possibility of extraterrestrial life than their is to show the existence of God. Perhaps God is an alien? As for people who need to be guided, I agree. There are people who need the structure of church, just as there are people who need the structure of military life. Interestingly enough, both groups of people take lives and give their own lives because they are told to by other humans who claim to represent something bigger than themselves. Again, I believe, I'm simply playing the other side. Sadly, it's usually the religion side who gets mad because once the "It all comes down to faith" argument is used, there's no more they can say.

nothing was written down for between 500 to 700 years after the death of Jesus. Alot of stuff can be twisted, miss quoted and plain ass gotten wrong. Jesus didn't write the bible, strange little men did.
Religion was created for the haves to keep the have nots in line via guilt.
Organized religion is a very imperious thing. Most of the wars in the world can be traced to religion...

I agree with the time line and why nothing was written and added to the Bible is a mystery to me. I for one would like to know. The Crusades were a series of religiously-sanctioned military campaigns waged by much of Latin Christian Europe up until the 15th century.

Religion in my opinion is nothing more than mans theology, which is crap if you ask me. I believe in the holy trinity of three, and try to follow the Bible. No man is perfect we can only try and thank God for forgiveness.

All you can do is offer other theories. As for "It's only in the heart that one understands", sure. It's faith. Emotional feelings aren't supported by facts, which is why the process of trying to live by those feelings is called a belief system. There's a difference between saying "I believe", "I think", and "I know". I don't know we evolved, but there is physical evidence to support that theory. There's certainly more physical evidence to support an evolutionary theory than there is to support a creationist belief. You can say all day long that you "know" God exists, but all you really have is a belief that he exists. I will admit that the fossil record is missing pieces and has many flaws, but that's what science is; a system of taking failures and successes in the quest for knowledge. I submit, however, that our flawed, incomplete fossil record provides a much more defensible theory than "You just have to have faith". I'm in the middle of the debate and have yet to understand why the two sides can't see how easy it is to merge. yes, God exists, and yes, he created us, but no, he didn't say "Poof, there it is". And I have been accused of blasphemy by claiming to understand how his mind works, but my answer to that is that if we're made in his image, and he has showm wrath and love, then his thoughts and emotions have to be very much like us and therefore if you have good knowledge of the human psyche, it's not difficult to understand why he does what he does.

to support your beliefs? Besides that guilt- and shame-based philosophy that punishes you for using the free will the creator gave you if you don't use it the way he wants? See, you say you can debunk evolution. Okay, all you have to do is say "Prove it", right? All I have to say to debunk creationism is say "Show some valid evidence. Any. What is there?", and you folks have to go back to the "proof" of a book and faith. Evolution has some evidence, however controversial, while creationism has none.

Where did everything come from, how did it start..........Come on Run.......Where where......out of thin air..........but wait where did air come from....evolution has long BEEN proven a lie. I didnt read the posts, so I didnt really have a comment, only thing that I can tell you is that my life has changed from a disaster zone, to actually making some sense and feeling something bigger than myself.
I KNOW in my heart that my soul and spirit will never die.
you can debate it til hell freezes over and what will it get you?
man has 3 parts, Mind Body Spirit and when you dont have the spirit part down, you have a want and need inside to satisfy it.
In my own case, it was a bottle of wild turkey, and any ho' I could find.
I thought that would make me feel better...but it didnt.
I know that there is a God, because my life has turned around 100% for the better and it was NOT BY MY HAND.
I know the truth, and the TRUTH has set ME FREE...
I am in no way trying to push my views, but my life has changed, and I am a better man for it.
I would NEVER GO BACK TO THE WAY I WAS ... and thats not just faith,
ITS LIFE
with ALL DUE RESPECT... its been an AWESOME 6 YEARS thanks to MY lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
that is WHY salvation is a GIFT... it is something that the richest man in the world CANT BUY and the lowliest street person gets FOR FREE
ALL YOU NEED DO IS ASK AND ACCEPT HIS GIFT...

Where's creationists' evidence of where we came from? You said you had all the evidence, so where is it?

We have made it to the second page staying almost completely on topic. Wow, maybe it's a miracle. God put our collective ADD on hold to discuss him.

But if this is the best God can do that isn't saying very much about his wisdom. A perfect world would be, no sickness, no crazy dictators, no murderers. Eden, please, it was just a test? Then why test us if in his infinite wisdom God, knew we would fail. If God knows all, then why do we have to be tested? Just the thoughts of an old recovering Catholic curmudgeon.

Through the eyes of a child:
The Children's Bible in a Nut shell

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas.

The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.

Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did. Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars.

Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel.

Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.

One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.

Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.

God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's stuff.

Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more:
Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.

After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me.

After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore.

There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.

After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn.
(I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying
to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Democrats.

Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount.

But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.

Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

I Believe

In God and all his creations! I believe that Jesus died for our sins! Do I gather in a church to celibrate the teachings.....No! I believe that probably 80% of churches are a currupt Bussiness! Come on....pastors living in million dollar houses, while driving their BMW's! I spend my sunday mornings with a fishing pole or a gun in my hand celebrating his creation! Then I read a verse or to to my Daughter to show her the way. When she's old enough, She'll go with me on Sunday mornings!

nope, I said my piece an am done, like I said in my first post, I did it to align myself with other believers and make NEW friends with the same views. once I told sam I was "off the hook"...he was told the truth and my responisibility is over, now HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS OWN ACTIONS.

many folks dont want to acknowledge that there IS a GOD, because then they have to ANSWER to GOD for thier actions, and they dont like it because they feel convicted of how they are living...

MAKES SENSE NOW DONT IT.

Nitris, there ya go.

You said 'believe'. Belief isn't an answer. You still have yet to provide any evidence to support creationism. I actually couldn't sleep last night trying to think about how to comprehend the absolute beginning. With all the stars out there, each one with the potential to have its own planets, for someone to think we are the only intelligent life, let alone life at all, is awfully conceited. Where's god's beginnings? When did he start? How long did it take him to create everything? Did it really only take seven days, or is that a metaphor? In the bible, Cain slew his brother Abel out of jealousy. When god found out, he sent Cain wndering in the land of Nod. The next verse down, the bible says "And Cain knew his wife, and she bear him a son and his name was Enoch". Where'd his wife come from and why didn't the bible say anything about other people? That's but one of many questions I've come up with, and tomorrow I'll have a tougher one. it's in the margin of my bible, but i have to find it.

Maybe because he kept coming up with newer newer versions? Hmm, evolution as guided by god? What a concept!! But in any event, you still have not provided evidence. Where is it?

Because there is no evidence, nothing concrete, only "I Believe" Belief is good for those that need it, religion, rehab, AA, Obama. Always there for those that can't make it on their own.
I see the light, oh shit thats a muzzle flash.
I am not making fun of you guys, you have your beliefs and I have mine. Nothing worse than a reformed alcoholic, sinner, or drug abuser.
Some of the biggest spout off about it Christians are the ones into the 3 somes or little kids or closet druggies or alkies.
When ever I thought something was too much in control of my life, I changed it. Just me, but not all are perfect. Some have mystic absolution, so the world is better.

I believe that there are only two things that you have to do in this life, die and pay taxes.

Halfway to a third page before the meskin fucked it up. Oh well, it's just like everything else. We begin making progress and the beaners come in to slow it down. By the way, I highly doubt you know how to make love to anything. Have I posted this joke before?

Q: What's the definition of "Making Love"?
A: It's what the woman's doing while you're fucking her.

Ebear, you can replace woman with sheep. Hell, you do anyway.

The life around us can be explained through reproductive processes, and different species of the same genus who adapt to their specific environments is a much better bit of evidence to support evolution than it is to support creationism. Still waiting for something more concrete or quantifiable Nitris. Good try though, bud.

It is hard to argue against faith & beliefs. It is like arguing against Liberalism to a Lib.
I think there is a mix of creationism and a higher power of some sorts. Something had to have started this mess. If God(higher power) made man, then that is not saying too much for him/her/it.
Earth would be a great place except for the humans on it.

even with humans onboard. There are some exceptions, and I would remedy those if I could get away with it, but that's a different topic, I suppose. If it weren't for us humans, who would be here to hold dominion over the earth like God intended? Ah well, evolution is much more feasible, logically speaking, than creationism, but I agree that it's a mixture of the two. Unfortunately, there are some hardcases out there that think it's a "this or that" affair. Oh well, I still love all my brothers and sisters. Especially that skeeterpeter fella.

"Evolution" mixes two things together, one real, one imaginary. Variation (microevolution) is the real part. The types of bird beaks, the colors of moths, leg sizes, etc. are variation. Each type and length of beak a finch can have is already in the gene pool for finches. Creationists have always agreed that there is variation within species. What evolutionists do not want you to know is that there are strict limits to variation that are never crossed, something every breeder of animals or plants is aware of. Whenever variation is pushed to extremes by selective breeding (to get the most milk from cows, sugar from beets, bristles on fruit flies, or any other characteristic), the line becomes sterile and dies out. And as one characteristic increases, others diminish. But evolutionists want you to believe that changes continue, merging gradually into new kinds of creatures. This is where the imaginary part of the theory of evolution comes in. It says that new information is added to the gene pool by mutation and natural selection to create frogs from fish, reptiles from frogs, and mammals from reptiles, to name a few.

Do these big changes (macroevolution) really happen? Evolutionists tell us we cannot see evolution taking place because it happens too slowly. A human generation takes about 20 years from birth to parenthood. They say it took tens of thousands of generations to form man from a common ancestor with the ape, from populations of only hundreds or thousands. We do not have these problems with bacteria. A new generation of bacteria grows in as short as 12 minutes or up to 24 hours or more, depending on the type of bacteria and the environment, but typically 20 minutes to a few hours. There are more bacteria in the world than there are grains of sand on all of the beaches of the world (and many grains of sand are covered with bacteria). They exist in just about any environment: heat, cold, dry, wet, high pressure, low pressure, small groups, large colonies, isolated, much food, little food, much oxygen, no oxygen, in toxic chemicals, etc. There is much variation in bacteria. There are many mutations (in fact, evolutionists say that smaller organisms have a faster mutation rate than larger ones15). But they never turn into anything new. They always remain bacteria. Fruit flies are much more complex than already complex single-cell bacteria. Scientists like to study them because a generation (from egg to adult) takes only 9 days. In the lab, fruit flies are studied under every conceivable condition. There is much variation in fruit flies. There are many mutations. But they never turn into anything new. They always remain fruit flies. Many years of study of countless generations of bacteria and fruit flies all over the world shows that evolution is not happening today.

"We cannot prove the existence of G-D;

We also cannot disprove the existence of G-D."

My philosophy, therefore, is that each interested or concerned person will have to decide for himself/herself,
based upon his/her own views of the meaning of human existence.

When one studies the history of human existence, one sees a repetitive cycle of hostility, war and revolution, characterized by government supported organized/sanctioned religion. At the very least, in my opinion, this does not speak well of organized religion.

While I do not reject philosophical or religious discussions on this site, I do not agree that any member has the right to preach his/her brand of religion, or attempt to balkanize the membership by any specific religious belief. Whether you are religious or non-religious, there is much that conspires to separate us from one another, when what we need now, desperately, is to come together and fight against those who would destroy our constitutional republic.

And I don't preach, or force my faith on anyone. It's up to you to believe what you will. I only have a message.

being pushed here. This has become a debate on Creation versus Evolution, not on Jehovah's Witness versus Mormon (although Mormon is more of a cult that real religion) versus Baptist. If the thread has become too long, by all means, don't read or take part in it. There are plenty of other topics in here and even a feature that allows you to start a new one. It's quite simple; if you don't like the conversation, don't take part. Believe me, it would not take much to find and post links to some awfully ridiculous topics of conversation, some with much less coherent points of view and discussions than are found in this one.

I am a "hardcore christian" with a biblical prospective and use the bible as my daily roadmap for life.
I would like to ask you to join with me in support of one another and I realize that this could cause me to be an "outcast".
SO BE IT.
