Car folk?

Hi guys, I'm really into guns (as I'm on this site...), but I'm also really into cars and modifying them. Are there any others on this fprum that are too?

Could anyone give me a hand uploading some pics? You may be interested to see a UK ride before modding commences?

Cheers, Chris

Im a fan of Chevy Beretta's I have 2, One is a 1988 Base Beretta with 2.0 4 cylinder and Automatic Transmission. My other is 1989 Beretta GT 2.8 V6 with 5 Speed Manual Trans which I ride right now. My 88 trans gave out over the summer. I hope to get a Beretta Indy which are remakes of the one that was used as a pace car for the Indianapolis 500 race.

Please tell me you dont ride a Mini Cooper lol. Just joking. Nice to meet you.

Mini Coopers, nice, but now really my type of thing to be honest as I'm 6'8"!!

I have always enjoyed bigger cars on massive wheels. I currently drive a 2005 Vauxhall (Opel) Vectra Estate diesel manual, with 19 inch hoops. It is my third Vectra in a long line of Vauxhalls and I love it.

Do you get many manual cars over in the States? All the cars I have hired have been autos, nothing wrong with them, I just prefer the the stick option.

I like the Beretta's too, nice cars.

My 1989 Beretta GT is a manual 5 Speed. Most vehicles here in South West VA are manual.

minutes. I've got something to discuss with Rashi first and a phone call to make to my doctor's office. Don't worry, it's just that my insurance requires that every time I go to see the cardiologist I have to have a referral from my primary care giver doctor. Catch you there in a few.

Yeah, I noticed it was a manual. My car has a 6 speed unit which I like, especially with cruise fitted. I did have an automatic Volvo S70 T5 which was great and then a Volvo S60 auto, which was not quite so good.

More and more cars over here are now auto's, rather than manual!

You won't get a stick here in a rental unless maybe Hertz has a Camaro or Mustang. They tried this back in the 60's and guys would rent the Mustangs with sticks and take them to the dragstrip for the weekend. They learned their lesson. LA & Hollywood have some specialty car rentals for exotics and such. Do you guys get the Holdens there from Australia? Great cars and that Supercar racing is great.

We do get Holden's, but are re-badged as Vauxhall's in the UK with it being part of the GM empire. They are Vauxhall Monaro's, but I believe the same as a Pontiac GTO? The top version is the VXR which has a 6.0 V8, rare over here.

I wasn't much on auto modding, but now that I have my big-ass diesel truck, I've got a list with about 11 grand in upgrades, not counting larger wheels or tires. Or armoring or gun mounts. I'm going to really try to keep it all Ford, but that Cummins 5.9L is really calling.

"I have always been a soldier. I have known no other life. The calling of arms, I have followed from boyhood. I have never sought another." From The Virtues of War, by Steven Pressfield.
