This was a series of stories that was metaphor to the British People. These story were written in time of great despair in Great Britain. They were written to give heart and strength and strength of character to English speaking people around the world.
Winston Churchill stood up before the House of Commons and make this speech to the leaders of the British Peoples.
"Now is the hour of our despair? No, say I! No, it shall not be! Hitler knows he must break us in our tiny islands or else lose this war. We will fight him in the air. We will fight him on the land. We will fight him above and below the sea. This evil shall not stand! The fight will be long and strewn with melancholy and death and destruction. We will shed blood and sweat and tears, but never will we lay down and surrender. Never say I! Let all men of good heart turn toward our tiny island nation and give prayer. Long live Britannia! God save the king!"
C.S. Lewis wrote his stories to entertain and give heart to the young children of this tiny island nation. So that they could see, that even through the Blitz and the bombings at London and South Hampton and Coventry, that no matter how bad things might seem, as long as young people believe, then there is hope.
Ryo believe this to be true. There is hope!
To all good conservative people here at Gunslot and around our country, there is hope. Do not give up in your beliefs. Take heart from good stories like The Chronicles of Narnia and remember, in our time of despair that yes, there are young people like Ryo who will stand up and say...No! We will never give in, never surrender, never will we give up hope.
A mouse stood up to a lion and said to Hitler, no! You may conquer the whole world, but never will we give in! Never will we surrender, our faith, our hope, our future, and out belief in a free nation where good men and women can stand up and shout together to all who would take our belief away from us, NO! Not here! You will not bring your poison here. And if there are liberal who come among us to tell us we are wrong, that we are throwback to an age long gone in this land, then let us clasp hands together and together shout NO! No! Not here. Not in our country. We will never give in. We will never give up! Long live America! God save all of us!

Clive Staples Lewis was a devout atheist much of his life, but after becoming a college professor at Oxford, Lewis embarked on a personal spiritual journey that would result in his rebirth into Christianity, being "surprised by joy," as he would describe it.
A prolific writer and humanitarian, C.S. Lewis penned over forty books, many dealing with, and confirming, the intricate issues of his newfound faith. These books include The Screwtape Letters, Mere Christianity, The Great Divorce, and The Chronicles of Narnia

For a non political person such as yourself, you seem to have walked a very fine line here about crossing over into politics. That being said, this is a heart warming, beautiful little piece you wrote. It should remind all of us that this is our country too and just because we don't like many of the policies that our new government is instituting doesn't mean that we should just moan about it. Write you congressperson, make phone calls, talk to friend post constructive ideas on the net.
I hope many people here will come and read carefully what you have written. It's a very inspiring thing you have done my LittleDragon.
Your Pops,
