So, apparently next year, Colt will be offering the same M45 Rail gun that is being supplied to the Marine Corp. It will be handfitted in the Colt custom shop and supplied with a test target that is supposed to be one inch or less grouping and will be tested with the supplied magazines and comes in a pelican case. I don't konw how much it will be, but given that a regular Colt rail gun, which is what it is built off of runs around 1200, I'd guess around 2000 or 2500, but who knows. Below is a link to the video I found on it.

Rail gun?

Why do they call it a rail gun? I'm guessing the accessory rail, but to me a rail gun is something completely different.

SJMB, You are correct, they call it a rail gun because of the accessory rail. They even have the words "rail gun" placed on the gun right under the ejection port. I bet I know what your thinking, electromagnetic rail gun on a navy ship right??

Rail gun....

Like Saint Browning I too was thinking e.m.g. or ww II i.e. Big Bertha that hurled a VW sized h.e. shell 20 or more miles! Thanks for the clarification. (My electric bill is high enough already!)

But a little expensive for my tastes and I'm a Springfield guy anyway.

I tried to watch the video and it said it wasn't available... Rail Gun had me thinking something else as well.
