Colt Python w/2.5" Barrel
I recently purchased a 1963 Model Colt Python w/2.5" Barrel. I know they made 6000 Pythons in 1963, but does anyone know how many of that 6000 was with the 2.5" Barrel. The SN# is 25XXX. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Bimberger |

Bimberger, Colt Pythons with 2.5" barrels were very common in production. It was the shortest of the Colt pythons made, the others were 4, 6, and 8 inch barrels which are just as common as a 2.5. The rarer of the barrel lengths for a colt python is the 3" barrel of which only a few hundred were made. I hope thats helpful.
