I need help! I have a concealed carry license, but I'm having trouble finding a way to carry concealed that is both comfortable & convenient. My preferred gun to carry is an S&W Model 49 (concealed hammer Chief's Special), and also a Charter Bulldog. I've tried different belt holsters, & have found none that work in warm weather. When I can wear a coat or jacket, a shoulder holster works well, but here in Utah, when the temperature is above 90F (sometimes well above), that's not an option. That goes for a vest also. A bellyband is about the only thing I've found that works, & if you've ever worn one you know that they aren't really great. The Kramer undershirt with a built-in holster is also fine when I can wear a heavier cover (heavy shirt or jacket), but not in the summer. I can wear a long tailed shirt outside the pants, so I'd like a belt holster. Thanks in advance. He who laughs last thinks slowest.

inside paddle? Ask @ your
gunshop about them, I've
read about them but never
investigated further.
I don't know nuthin' 'bout
holsters, I just walk around
with mine in my hand. I love
all the attention I get!

how long is the bbl on the S&W?
Galco makes a good interior belt clip holster, but there are others as well

2" on the S&W, 3" on the Charter Bulldog.

in an ankle holster fitted for it and you should be good to go

An ankle holster should work when I'm wearing Levis, or other pants. What about options when I'm wearing shorts?
Shakleford
I carry all my guns in one. I have a Taurus revolver with a 2" barrel, and it conceals well. Might try a pocket holster if you're wearing cargo shorts. I live in Texas and am constanly having to carry in 100+, so these carry methods work in the heat.

one of those fanny packs

ankle holster but you sometimes
wear shorts. Get longer straps
to fit your thighs but BE CAREFUL
that the hammer spur don't hook
your BALLS!!
Reaper is right on with the fannie

and I agree with Shakleford. I have a Don Hume IWB for my Glock 19 and I can wear a one-size larger t-shirt and be fine. I also buy my shorts at K-mart, they have Basic Edition brand that has elastic in a couple places on the waist band so I don't have to worry about buying big shorts for IWB carry and then cinching them way down when I use another holster. I would recommend the Don Hume model with the leather body shield, as the corners of my Glock sometime rub uncomfortably after a whole day riding against my lovehandle. Another option is the Crossbreed brand holster. I plan to buy one to see how it feels, but my shooting dollars are devoted to practical shooting gear and reloading for right now. By the way lucky, I'll see your fanny pack statement and raise you a photographer's vest when the wearer isn't carrying a camera

plus the Obozo sticker on the Prius!

You know, for better camouflage, but then I realized I may key my own car or cut myself off in traffic out of habit.

I find myself fantacizing about running them off the road. I have my Obozo Socialist Joker pics in the back side windows of my Suburban.

with him pissing on the country, but I'm waiting until I get my Ford before putting it on. There are an awful lot of liberal civilians working on post and I'm looking forward to one saying my sticker is offensive. I'll tell them to go complain to the MPs and then greet them when they come into the station. It should be fun. I really can't wait to get my truck. I don't like bumper stickers on cars, but I think they look right along the bottom of the back window on a pickup truck.

I went on the websites for Don Hume, Clipdraw, Crossbreed & The Holster Store, & found several things that I think would be great. Now it's a matter of printing off the blurbs about the top holsters (or Clipdraw), making a choice, & placing an order. Actually, I'm leaning toward buying more than one. The money it takes to buy good concealed carry gear is nothing compared to the cost of being unarmed when the shit hits the fan.

They sponsor a forum called nationalgunforums.com and I got permanently banned because a moderator was losing a debate with me. Hell with them.
