I agree

I am in the school of thought that any caliber will be effective if you put it in the right spot, and the .380 is fine with me, but if left with a choice between the two, I would go with the .38 spl also. It's a bit hard to find, but winchester has a 110 gr semi jacket HP +P+ they marketed for law enforcement, and it produced some great results as far as accuracy, penetration, and expansion during unscientific at home testing with wet phonebooks and milk jugs (I said it was unscientific) out of my 2 1/8 in barrel Taurus 606.

Concealed carry?

What about a kel-tec? Maybe a Ruger LCP or something like that They are way to small for my hands to even think about, but I've heard no bad about them. Haven't tried one myself, just a suggestion. I've had a lot of luck with my Berretta model 21A in a .22 cal., but personally, I carry an XD compact in .45 cal.

RIGHT!!

I have had one for about 3 years, and it has performed outstandingly. I use it also for teaching: giving the first experience to a student who never handled/fired a semi. After they shoot it, they are HOOKED, and if they were ever uneasy about handling a semi that disappears.

It is a perfect starter, for kids.

never fired one, dont fit my hand to well, but they sure do look neat. Not a bad price either. Never heard any bad about them either. Case in point Greasy.
