Think about this:
1. Cows
2. The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments

------------------------------------------------------------------------

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse or Congress is this: You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment

This is really great! And I see it as all true, unfortunately

If you want to see me on the news. I'll just open carry, unloaded with no mag in sight. Guaranteed I would be on the news. Regardless if open carry was legal or not.

i'm sorry but

i understand the intentions of the guys that are open carrying an unloaded gun, they are operating within the laws that they have to work with, and at what point are they able to load their weapon? when they feel threatened? okay so if i was open carrying an unloaded gun my "condition red" area would be a bout 35 feet(actually practice having someone walk up to you and see how long it takes to pull a mag and load and see how many feet they have moved) with practice they can probably get it down but again i wonder what the law says about when they can lock and load.It kind of reminds me of what i use to see on Broadway in downtown San Diego during the early 70s,a group of bikers standing around with Bowie Knives in sheaths at their side, some carried Arkansas toothpicks too
Now if i was to walk up to one and try and take the knife what do you think might happen? i don't really see much difference if a guy is open carrying a gun, first off it's a club, then if he gets it loaded after you have attacked him,it's a bullet for your trouble. In both cases it's just best to leave them alone and go find easier pickins, but then again you might not have noticed the guy standing at the corner open carrying an unloaded handgun,i don't know i just don't get the ease at which you guys are ridiculing an open carry of an unloaded gun.

an unloaded gun. I see a lot of people around here carrying big sheath knives and i realize they are in a much better initial position than I am with my concealed pistol if we started a dance. I have a couple different knives I may start carrying with me, I just have to figure out where to put them.
