but the best way to do it is to hatch the duck egg yourself, and make sure that you are the first being the duck sees when it is hatched. You will then become that duck's "mother", and would be responsible for feeding it and caring for it as a mother duck would, including, taking it for a swim now and then. That is what is called "imprinting", and that duck will follow you wherever you go.
